Anyone know if there any pics of such a G3 iBook on the web? I know that the burner would fit physically, just wanted to see how it looks. Lots of cheap Superdrive options out there, I was thinking of the slot-loader given the difficulty of finding a tray-loader with compatible bezel.
Also, as someone mentioned at xlr8yourmac (who installed a slot-loader), the slot-loader is more convenient than a tray loader. I might tend to agree, given the AC port on our G3/800 iBook is so close to the tray, that when you open the tray it inevitably hits or comes close to the power cord.
Re. 3rd party burners, is it correct to say that they must be set to Slave to work properly in the G3 iBooks?

P.S. I've seen the UJ-845 8x burner with Dual Layer support at 100 Euro or so, so super cheap. Given the demand for an original Combo with white bezel, I could probably almost break even.
