Airport card problems

I have a Pismo running OS 10.3.4 and an original aiport card connecting to a
graphite Airport base station.

All was well for a long, long time until yesterday, when the card did not
reconnect coming out of sleep. After some fiddling, the menu bar icon got a
full signal and it was fine for the day.

Today, same thing - it slept overnight and now will not see the base
station. No signal.

I tried:

- testing the base station w/ another PC - works fine.
- turning the card off/on.
- re-seating the card
- ditching the prefs.
- Apple System Profiler sees the card.

Any suggestions?

It looks like my problem was caused by ATT. I had very slow downloads and
could not send emails. The wired computer had the same problem, so it wasn't
just my laptop.

I recently installed an airport card in my Pismo and bought the new Airport
base station, set it up and was really amazed at the range I got.  I live on
the 18th floor and went down to the outdoors parking lot of the building and
lo and behold I could connect to my base station!!!

Okay, here's an update. Now it's back to working fine. The only difference
is that I had my brother and his wife here before when it wasn't working.
They had 2 cell phones, but both were off. Is it just a weird coincidence
that when I want to show off the wireless capabilities of the Pismo, it
doesn't work, or what?
