Re: s-video out on my wallstreet
Dave, A couple of things that worked for me. 1. Make sure that you have no other AV input connections active. At least RCA jacks. I can leave my coaxial cable connected but not the RCA jacks. 2. I think there is a proper sequence for turning on, but since the S-Video is hot swappable what works for me is plugging in after the TV and Wallstreet are on.. 3. Still, nothing will happen until you open the Open Monitor Control Panel (on the Control Strip) and select one of the other options there. I say one of the other options because I don't have mine hooked up and those other options do not appear. But it should be come obvious and you can play around. You pick various screen resolutions etc. HTH Cliff are At 3:30 PM -0400 4/24/05, G-Books wrote: Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In-Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] From: Dave NovaK [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: s-video out on my wallstreet Date: Sat, 23 Apr 2005 19:02:43 + Hey there all... I dunno if this has been covered a million times or not, but I can't seem to get anything out of my S-video plug. I have a WSII/300/192mb RAM (with the big screen). I'm running 10.2.8 primarily (with 9.2, too). Can't get anything using either OS9 or OSX. Don't know if or where there's an option to make it active or not. In a somewhat related subject, the VGA out only works on OS9. Any way to make it active with OSX? Thanks, Dave -- G-Books is sponsored by http://lowendmac.com/ and... Re: s-video out on my wallstreet
In OS 9, it's always worked for me when I put the PowerBook to sleep, then connect the S-Video (or composite video via adatper) to the PowerBook, power on the TV, then wake the PowerBook back up. The video comes up in mirroring. Ditto w/ the VGA port.
