Anyone have suggestions what the "thermal transfer material" (1) used on the CPU on Powerbook G4 logic board is? I have used cooling paste before on the Powerbook G3s, but I suspect this is something else? The repair manual indicates I should use new materials, so implicitly it's bad idea to reuse the old material, if at all possible. Any ideas for obtaining such materials except from Apple? I can get it from Apple, but still would like to know of other sources.
