I thought there might be a few web designers on this list who might be able to point me in the right direction.
My dd, 19 soon to be 20 has been working at a local scrapbook shop who has an internet store. They turned her loose to run this e-store and with the team of designers she has been managing the store and site for about 10 months, while she did a distance learning course in para-legal. She graduates next week and is seeking a good lawyer and firm to make better money so she can take more classes, buy more guitars etc ...ah hem. Any way she says she really liked the web design thing and wants to pursue this. We live near Chicago on the Indiana side. My question is: what should we look for in a web training program, one that does not require a full college degree, just the core knowledge. If any one can recommend a course, or school i would like to look at them with her. please contact me off list as this isn't really a powerbook issue, and I apologize.
