10.5 in older machines question

2009-07-02 Thread Bruce

Hello,

If I install 10.5 on a hard drive in an MDD,
then remove that hard drive and put it in a
733 QS or a 733 DA, what would happen?

Would 10.5 now boot and run on the QS and DA?

Thanks,

Bruce S.

It should work. I installed 10.5 on an external disk from an Ibook G4
and then booted a Sawtooth on it for over a year as the primary drive.
An internal drive should work the same way.

hope that helps - Marty

I have a cloned 10.5.7 running fine on my Digital Audio Dual 533.

Just cloned it from a QS 2002 Dual 1GHz installation.

Meant to mention I only have a GeForce4 MX in my DA's AGP slot ...
doesn't fully support Core Image. QE yes.

I believe you need at least 512MB RAM but the full amount is
preferred ... especially under Leopard,
