Clocks...you can get clock mechanisms that will fit neatly in the  
standard mounting holes in many circuitboards, like logic boards.

I'd advise against storing food in plastic not made for that purpose.
Even reusing plastic bottles that held juice, etc. isn't advisable,
because unless they were made for reuse in holding food, plastic
containers have chemicals that can leak in tiny amounts into the food.
(I suppose that the reusable ones have stronger protective coatings.)
I've switched to glass for most of my food storage.

Though I don't have a specific reason, I'd also lean toward not using
hard disc platters as saucers. :)

Computer Parts

I have a few odd computer parts, HDs', motherboards'... etc.  Have any
of you came up with any unique uses for the parts besides their
necessity.  For example I use old CD containers,  the ones that the
CDs' come in from the store, to store food in after a cycle through
the Dishwasher.  Or like HDs' as pinewood derby cars... etc..
