Deleted WebKit Framework!

2014-10-31 Thread Evan Thomas
Hi,

I've been foolish and whilst fiddling around with my G5 I have deleted the
webkit framework thus disabling Safari, iTunes, Pages etc. I don't have
system discs or a back-up. Yes, I know, that stupid. I did make an attempt
to clone my system disc a while back but could never get it to boot when I
tested it. Then I gave up.

Can anyone help me out with the files I need, please?

Dual 2GHZ PPC G5
2GB DDR SDRAM
OSX Leopard 10.5.8

Hoping to upgrade to an older Mac Pro as soon as possible. It would be good
to use a mainstream browser again and the eBay prices are great. Cheers,
Evan..

You may be able to get it back by re-installing the 10.5.8 combo updater:

http://support.apple.com/kb/dl866.

Even if the clone didn’t boot, you should be able to mount it and go into
/System/Library/GFramewroks and drag the webkit directory over to the booted
disk. Then re-run the combo updater.
