Re: Good dvd ripping software??
The issue is simple. While it is indeed legal for you to posess a back up copy of a commercially produced DVD that you have purchased, it is NOT legal to break the copy protection on said DVD. Thank your Senators and representatives for that little catch 22. It's entirely possible, unless he owns a tv show. In addition I do know that there was one dvd ripping software which was banned from being sold in the US because it successfully decrypted protected DVDs, doing such is indeed illegal. -- Best Regards, John Musbach --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs. If you can express the source code in any fashion due to free speech, doesn't that mean one should be able to express the source code in the form of binary machine code in retail packaging? It seems like this is another case of the law stepping in and infringing on our right to free speech. -- Best Regards, John Musbach --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed Low End Mac's G3-5 List, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
