Re: Option equivalent on Windows Keyboard

2011-02-19 Thread Dale Hoffman

Alex, Dark_Mac,
You're right, Thanks!
I thought I had tried the Alt key.

Now I can confidently include a PC keyboard with a G4.
The other key needed - F12 to open the Optical drive tray - is a
direct match.
Anyone think of something that would NOTt work on a PC keyboard
attached to a G4?

Dale

No problem using a Mac keyboard to choose which volume to boot
into, just hold down the Option key.
The problem is what to do with a PC keyboard. None of the three
lower left keys will do the trick.

Does anyone know how to choose boot volume at startup on a G4 using
a PC keyboard?

The menu key (right side between alt and ctrl)
The numbers lock seems to work but it doesn't seem to do anything but show
up in the keyboard viewer.

to type etc. on three computer via a USB KVM (4-port unit). I push
Control option delete to log-in to the windows Xp system.
