They're all just text files, but there's a whole bunch of different extensions. The solution (thanks to Robert MacLeay on the macintel list) was to edit (with BBEdit, natch :-) ~/Library/Preferences/ com.apple.LaunchServices.plist and search for every instance of 'textwrangler' and replace it with 'bbedit'. -- Bruce Johnson Wherever you go, there you are B.
