start up items
PM G4 933 10.5.8. In my start up items list there are two items: 1) HP IO (HP IO Monitor) 2) HP Trap Monitor. I use a HP Photosmart printer via PCI USB. What are these two items and are they needed? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs. They're HP's Little CPU Time Stealers(TM) :-) the IO monitor will tell you if your orinter isn't properly communicating, andthe other catchers errors so they can pop up little warnings you're out of ink! You should be able to remove them without consequence. After all you can tell when it's not printing by the distinct lack of printing activity, and those printers do everything but hop around like Luxo Jr. when they're out of ink, all on their own. -- Bruce Johnson University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Information Technology Group Institutions do not have opinions, merely customs -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Group, a group for those using G3, G4, and G5 desktop Macs - with a particular focus on Power Macs.
