yes finally i got it to work and i installed the upgrade and it worked great! The firmware for the system on New World Macs is contained in a system file named MacOS ROM. Sonnet has had it for a long time, here: http://www.sonnettech.com/support/downloads/processorupgradecards.html I suspect OWC has it (or something comparable) as well.
