Re: [Gajim-devel] A few transport questions

Those log On/Off menuitem only send available and unavailable presence. So if you want the same behaviour, you cand sen custom presence - online / offline But ... Next time you'll set your global status, transport sill be connected again. That's why we removed thos log On/Off menuitem which could confiuse the user, and we added a Manage transport - Block menuitem, which will block your transport by setting a privacy list (if your server supportes privacy lists). With this you won't be connected on status change, nor when you connect to your account (which reply to your next question) I would also like to know is there any way to stop transports from autoconnecting at initial connection to the jabber server? Is that difficult to implement, could we expect it some day? I really miss a little more control over behaviour of transports. What else do you miss? Transport is a contact/jid as any other (and many clients, including gajim, just guess it is a transport by some ways) and it logs you in when it sees you online. Do not allow it see you online, that's all. We don't have such an option in the GUI to do that for transports. We can only do that with other contacts. We could add the subscription submenu for the transport manage transport menu, but is it really usefull? I personaly vote for doing it: that doesn't hurt, that doesn't bloat the GUI, and that could be usefull for this behaviour. -- Yann ___ Gajim-devel mailing list Gajim-devel@gajim.org https://lists.gajim.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/gajim-devel
