Yes, with QEMU. Everything is explained on the net, just follow the link
provided in the issue tracker.

The problem I have is that Raspberry provides an image disk with not
enough free space on it (less than 300Mb) to install all the needed
development packages. I don't know how to take their image disk and add

 Good morning Benoit,

 After thinking this over and trying around a bit this morning, I guess I
 finally understood (sometimes I'm somewhat slow :-) )

 With the higher resolution the fonts are enlarged to keep everything
 comfortable and readable. Then all elements in the form are enlarged by
 the same factor to keep the form about the same real-world size it had
 before. My labels, however, still refer to actual XY screen pixels.

 I looked into another project this morning and found the same thing:
 forms have been enlarged, fonts are wider, but not every graphic element
 can follow (e. g. there is a photo shown, and it scales too small as the
 frame is shown wider now).

 Trying to set this form's (Scaled) to FALSE didn't help, everything
 stays large. Do you have any idea what else I could try to keep
 everything as large as it was created for SXGA?

 On the other hand, I don't mind forms adapting to screen resolution, but
 then I will need to somehow read their scaling factor (for such things
 as the photo for instance). Is there any function for it?

 Thanks for your help.

 Regards

 Rolf

You must use MoveScale() and ResizeScaled() when creating controls
manually, instead of Move() and Resize(). These functions just multiply
their arguments by the scale factor (which is Desktop.Scale).

Regards,

I think now you should use the Screen and Screens classes. Screens.Count
gives you the number of screens, and Screens[] returns a Screen object that
allows you to get its geometry.

Logically, there is no global available space, as two screens can have
different sizes, and can be layout in many different ways.

   but I get a signal 6 at the seconde Out = XSLT.Transform(Xml, Xsl)

   here I attached a demo where you can see it.

   This (the FromXML_old is the working version before you changes) is the
   original sub I use.

  You got this signal because the resulting document of XSLT.Transform(Xml,
  Xsl) was empty, and hadn't any root element.

  I solved the problem in the rev #4659, but you should check if your
  resulting documents are all valid, in all cases, otherwise the parser may
  crash and/or return an empty document.

 Salut Adrien,

 the attached test.tar.gz is the same project newXML as yesterday I only
 activated the FromXML_old branch.
 And I packed also the 2 temporary files, to show you the output.
 I used gambas 3.1 r4638 for.

 What I understood till now, whether the new gb.xml is stricter then the
 old one and my 2 xlst are not well done xlst-files or your
 XLST.Transform does not working right yet.

Yes, the new xslt.Transform is stricter that the old one, as the output
document is parsed into memory via the XmlDocument parser, so it must be XML-
valid.
When I look at the temporary document, for me it is not an XML file, just
because there isn't any root element. The W3C validator (validator.w3.org) and
my parser (that shows errors in console since rev #4672) says the same thing
as me.
So, you'll have to add a root element (like xml) to your stylesheets, for
the output document to be valid, and do not raise errors when parsing.

Moreover, you should put your text datas into CDATAs section, if you don't
want to be annoyed by the special characters (like etc...).

Don't know what the other persons error is, but here it says upon start.

Null object in FMain:879

line is: ivwImage[$iIndex].EnsureVisible

If I comment it, it runs as far as I can see.

This is on a new svn compile (trunk) on Ubuntu 12.04

This is a bug in the compiler and in your code.

Do you use the last revision? If not, just fix your regular expression
by quoting the '\' with another '\' (because '\' is both the quoting
character in Gambas string and in regular expressions!)

hi all of you!

as programming all kind of stuff has bin my favourite over 35 years
(besides playing e-guitar, sailing, all sort of that things norwegians
do when they are fit, travel -enough). in a long time of my adult life I
have worked very hard; I have sold computers, repaired them (abaut
6000), and programmed on unix, linux and windows - not the big ones, but
for me as almost soloplayer it was sometimes a lot to do.

the language I learned to love most is - gambas
but as I went from argentina to norway again, to take care of my old
father, my linux-HD broke, and a little later the whole PC. and where do
I ave the backups? in argentna

the real course is - every human is getting older; I am 54, but I am
certain, that I worked twice as much as a normal worker. and now come
the results - I can hardly keep the mouse in my hand, however I try to
sleep it hurts. I will just warn a little :) - dont you extend it too
long - take care of your body -you will need it later. (I am not a
vegetarian, I love beer, a good wine, a good meal, the other sex..)

I will be back - start from the ground, I suppose
but for the moment - take care of myself.

*
so after this very short intrudoction -how do I get out of the mailing
list?*
its just too much for me at the moment

keep on ging guys, this ist the best stuff ever

[Gambas-user] Regexp based highlighting

2012-04-25 Thread tobi
Hi,

it's some time since I last used the Highlight class together with the
gb.qt4.ext Editor and I
personally found it quite painful in the beginning. I hope, I did nothing wrong
when I constructed a
large Editor_Highlight() handler?
However, my question is about a Regexp based Highlighting. Does it already
exists? A sample I can
provide for that, is vim. I think about implementing that (at least) when I
extend the gb.ncurses
component to TextBoxes and stuff (what the ncurses forms library provides), it
may be of help in the
GUI world, too, I'm almost sure.
Remarks? (From Benoît perhaps? I saw that there exist several Highlight*
classes that do the job for
quite some languages, so I _suppose_ that there's no such automatism?)

Regards,
Tobi

Re: [Gambas-user] New XML component

2012-04-25 Thread Caveat
Thanks Adrien!

Your change has inspired me to go through and re-check the logic of my
XMLParserToModel class and I have made a few changes to tighten up on
checking the reader.Node for NULL and to implement the change you
suggested (check state of the reader for EndElement instead of checking
for a Node with type EndElement (which the old gb.xml used to return)).

Both the generic XML Editor and the generic XML To TreeView Forms are
working fine now.

I have also successfully run the test suite which tests making changes

Re: [Gambas-user] Issue 242 in gambas: Gamba forms fail on Debian ARM

2012-04-25 Thread gambas

Comment #5 on issue 242 by tvijlbr...@gmail.com: Gamba forms fail on Debian
ARM
http://code.google.com/p/gambas/issues/detail?id=242

Eureka:

user@Nokia-N800-43-7:/media/data/user/gamba/gambas3-3.1.1$ gcc testpow.c
user@Nokia-N800-43-7:/media/data/user/gamba/gambas3-3.1.1$ ./a.out

segmentation fault
user@Nokia-N800-43-7:/media/data/user/gamba/gambas3-3.1.1$ cat testpow.c
#include math.h
#include stdio.h

long double powl(long double x, long double y)
{
   return pow(x, y);
}

int main()
{
   long double i= -5;
   printf(%d\n, sizeof(i));
   for (; i=5; i++)
   printf(%g\n, (double)10*pow(10,i));
}

So defining a version of powl causes the segfault!

What happens under the hood is that the symbol powl is replaced by pow
by the compiler. So the powl(long double,long double) is mapped to
pow(double,double). Your powl() definition turns into

double pow(double x, double y)
{
   return pow(x, y);
}

A recursive funtion which eats up the stack until it segfaults.

I'm now recompiling with a patched config.h:

/* Define if you have modfl function. */
/* #undef HAVE_MODFL */
#define HAVE_MODFL 1

/* Define if you have powl function. */
/* #undef HAVE_POWL */
#define HAVE_POWL 1

I'm not sure about the (best) fix. Suggestions?
