Please send runnable project. That way your code is not very readable. I don't understand how you can get error from form.delete when it's not in your code..? yes...it is not in my code that's why it is a weird bug into Gambas3not present in Gambas2 ... I need to send you the source and a database dump to reproduce the bugs... where can I send them ?... by the way for the TextBox named 'name' ...I had to change the name field to something else to escape ... than I did fall into the DELETE problem... I have posted already a crash problem of Gambas3 importing a Gambas2 program at the moment of adding components. If it can help I test different languages with logging as an other user who has in his .profile the following: #LANG=POSIX LANG=ru_RU.utf8 #LANG=en_US.UTF-8 #LANG=es_ES.utf8 #LANG=fr_FR.utf8 #LANG=fr_BE.utf8 ...I change the language just un-commenting the right one. [Gambas-user] How many row in a GridView ?
Hi, Is there a way to determine how many rows appear in a GridView ? I have noticed that moving my project from a computer to another with different screen definition or different QT settings all the forms change their dimensions. The labels do not fit anymore into their spaces, the number of row change, and, in general, all the looking is worst. I am looking for a general way of using parameters to define the dimension of the various objects on the forms. Meanwhile for the width there is some possibility, for the height I do not find any. Any suggestion will be very appreciated. Hi, I have discovered that in a TableView or in a GridView enabled to receive data's from a database PUBLIC SUB TabWB4_Data(Row AS Integer, Column AS Integer) and to react to a Click PUBLIC SUB TabWB4_Click() Clicking, not only it is executed the _Click() subprogram but also the _Data(...) again. This, my case, it did erase the table as the rData received from the database, had changed at the moment of the Click. Hi, I receive a date from a query to the database...let's say rData!x_date ... The database is set to rData = Mglobal.$hConn.Exec(SET SESSION datestyle TO DMY) DMY data style...the locale of the computer is Italian so DMY also. If I write rData!x_date into a GridView or into a string all goes OK, but if I write rData!x_date into a TextBox or into a TextLabel then I get MDY format..i.e. the month before the day. I made it ! ...it took me few hours but finally I could modify the example to
work well also with PosgreSQL !
It is left just the 'Delete' function which, not only has to delete the data's
from the table but also the images from their repository.
I will polish a little bit and then put all on my site for general
downloading...

I am trying to use the example PictureDatabase with PostgreSQL but I get the
following error:

when executes the instruction:

If I get a space in place of a point I can make a work-around...it is actually what I have done up to now The problem now is with Russian language. The code produces a point as thousand separator, but the form and the console of GAMBAS show two squares...i.e. 2 not recognised utf-8 characters. You can test it making a test user on your system and put into his .profile the command LANG=ru_RU.utf8 and run your program as this user. For LANG=POSIX ? Format$(Val(14555888) / 1000, #,###.000) 14,555.888 ...this is OK LANG=es_ES.utf8 and for LANG=it_IT.utf8 ? Format$(Val(14555888) / 1000, #,###.000) 14 555,888 There is a space where should be a . but I can cope with it For LANG=ru_RU.utf8 ? Format$(Val(14555888) / 1000, #,###.000) 14??555,888 where ?? are 3F3F . These are not recognised as UTF-8 valid characters. In my GAMBAS program actually the two 3F are rapresented by squares. [Gambas-user] Tar-1.3 for Slackware
Please where can I find tar-1.3 ? yahoo and google did not find it. It is required for generating the Slackware installation package. insert into mytable (date1, date2) values ('01/01/2008', NULL)
Maybe you want the type timestamp ...which is the set of a date and a time.
