Re: [Audyssey] audio quake server
I'd like to know where I can get a server to. try searching www. tbrn.net/modgirl. Its got mods, and audioquake and a few other preconfigured things, probably the entire tbrn server archive I think. Re: [Audyssey] Great idea concerning the audio game comunity.
This is exactly why I'm telling the gamers community. We can definitely make a difference here. Look at the software page though. they have some neat stuff on it. Also, I don't think they're trying to advertise EA games, or other large companies, they're trying to bring the small companies into the open, which is great in my opinion. - For an amazing video gaming site containing original soundtracks, game art, etc, go here. http://gh.ffshrine.org?r=16426 - Original Message - From: "Kelly Sapergia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 12:31 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Great idea concerning the audio game comunity. > Hi, >I've looked at the Game Giveaway of the Day site, and so far am not > impressed. Re: [Audyssey] Great idea concerning the audio game comunity.
Yep, you'll have to buy the software. The whole idea is to advertise different companies. You need to activate the product on the giveaway day only. Of course, this is their policy. Let's say a developer puts up a game on there, it is really up to the dev if they want to give you another key. Giveaway team will only give users one license on that day though, unless stated otherwise by the developer, then continue advertising the site for a while. - For an amazing video gaming site containing original soundtracks, game art, etc, go here. http://gh.ffshrine.org?r=16426 - Original Message - From: "shaun everiss" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 12:32 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Great idea concerning the audio game comunity. > sounds good. > One question is though, if I have a computer crash and need to reformat, > and the software can only be activated before the give away time has > passed, will I then have to buy the software, it looks a bit one way to > me. > At 03:58 a.m. 30/01/2007, you wrote: >>Hello all, >>A few days ago, I posted a link to the giveaway of the day site. sounds good. Re: [Audyssey] Warriors 2 info
Well, Warriors, in a way, is sort of a stat cruncher. Its a mix of stat-crunching and sryth-style exploration. There is a game map, and certain zones you can adventure in and such. If you've ever played Kingdom of Loathing, its basically like that. You go to a zone and then you adventure in it. Unlike Kingdom of Loathing though, you actually have to unlock new zones and travel areas by adventuring in places and finding them. You can also do dungeon exploration, and there are something like 283 quests. Be warned, however, if you're looking for a game with perfect writing style, this isn't it. This is a second language game from Sweeden and there are almost no adventures in the game that are perfectly written. Also, the combat system is automatic, that is, you have no say in what happens during combat, it just goes round by round, but you can see the descriptions in the combat results chart. There are awesome things about this game though, such as the ability to acquire a small army of followers, you can recruit up to 20 and you can find more on the maps. You can have a pet that does various things, certain pets reduce travel costs between world areas and many pets fight beside you. I think this game is pretty fun, though it does get old after a while. If you want to sign up, it'd be nice if you would use my referal link, though you don't have to. You do get extra starting turns and I believe some more starting gold if you do use it though. If you feel like playing and want the link, just ask me for it. - Original Message - From: "Dark" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 8:15 AM Subject: [Audyssey] Warriors 2 info > Hello. > > In a message a while ago, shaddowdragon mentioned a game called Warriors > Ii. > > Sinse an unpleasant encounter betwene my index finger and some scissors > left me in a severely typing impared state for a few days, i wasn't able > to check out the game at the time. > > I've just googled it, and the game looks interesting, the only thing is, > it seems to require a subscription for full access to the game. [Audyssey] Warriors 2 info
Hello. In a message a while ago, shaddowdragon mentioned a game called Warriors Ii. Sinse an unpleasant encounter betwene my index finger and some scissors left me in a severely typing impared state for a few days, i wasn't able to check out the game at the time. I've just googled it, and the game looks interesting, the only thing is, it seems to require a subscription for full access to the game. You get 20 days free, then it's pay or have features disabled. sinse I'm rather busy at the moment and couldn't devote a lot of time to this game, I don't want to sign up and end up wasting my 20 days of freedome. Could anyone who plays Warriors ii pleased tell me a bit about the game, in particular, how much the subscription is and what you get for your money. Is Warriors Ii yet another stat crunching combat game? or is there actually some exploration, as in Sryth. Any info would be welcome. Beware the Grue! Dark. Ps: on his Whitestick.co.uk site, Thom lorima keeps a list of screen reader friendly internet games, including Sryth (where I first heard of it), legend of the green dragon, nation states and several others. Perhaps it would be good if people sent Thom links to such games, so that this list can be made as comprehensive as possible. ___ Gamers mailing list .. [Audyssey] Great idea concerning the audio game comunity.
Hello all, A few days ago, I posted a link to the giveaway of the day site. Here it is for those that missed it. www.giveawayoftheday.com I have downloaded from this site myself, and it's absolutely amazing. Basically what these guys do is give away games and software free of charge. There's no piracy involved, as they pay the developers for the software. The software stays on the site for 1 day, then a new game and program is added on the next day. As if that weren't enough, they advertise the developers site for a few days. I think this is great news for the audio gaming community as it'll give us publicity and new games to play, while at the same time pay the developers for their work. What do you all think? I'd love to see an audio game up on the site! - For an amazing video gaming site containing original soundtracks, game art, etc, go here. http://gh.ffshrine.org?r=16426 ___ Gamers mailing list .. Re: [Audyssey] Moaning Myrtle's lavatory
Hi Hunter, I am glad you recognized that my Sarah game is supposed to be taking place in Harry Potter's world in the Hogwarts castle but without Harry or other students being in it. I am hoping this ploy will let it sneak past the copyright restrictions. If not, there would only be a few changes to make the game generic as a magic castle. [Audyssey] SAPI voices in games, was Sarah game delayed by winter vacations
Hi Willem, If they are SAPI 5, they will work with the tarot card game in Sarah, and the SAPI voice feature setting is in the demo but is not used on the demo level of the game. I had tried out this feature in October after recording hundreds of descriptions of objects and creatures. In future games I will use the SAPI ability of the GMA game engine more extensively, like Jim Kitchen now does to develop games faster.
