Re: [Audyssey] train sym

Hi Carl,
There was a blind accessible train simulator but it was taken down.
And I do not know of any trucker driving game where you can control the
truck, but a good idea.

[Audyssey] Not a bug in Sarah game

2007-04-18 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Folks,
In the new Sarah game patch, I did not want you to go down to the dungeon
without getting at least 4 magic items.
That is why I originally put a minimum on the secret passage too.
Of course you had to get at least two to get to the first floor.
So now the object list comes up if you have not picked up enough of them,
but I do not say how many you need to open the door.
I already got two messages thinking this was a bug.

Re: [Audyssey] OT: Virginia Tech

2007-04-18 Thread Niko C
Sorry for repllying on the list but your email address isn't in the headers
I don't think. First of all, I don't live in a Christian country. Sure this
country was built on Christianity and I respect that but the co9untry was
founded on freedom of religion. That was the main reason for making the
collonies here. I am not a christian at all and while I do respect christian
beliefs, I'm myself am not one and am proud to live in a religiously fre
country. However of course, I still do agree with you that atleast one or
two people would have been kilt and that is horrible, but one or two people
is better than 33!
As for the alcohol thing, I belief that there should be no age limmit
on it. No I am not saying this because I am a teen. I'm saying it because
kids can get alcohol anyways. Trust me, it isn't hard. And if you think that
corperations and even small busineses are going to sell alcohol to kids
you're crazy. Sure they might at first but seriously, if you were that
cashior, would you sell that kid a drink if he's yong? Let's put that fact
aside though. Big companies will not sell alcohol to kids because it will
ruin their reputation. Let the market place decide how to handle things. It
will work. People seem to think that the government is the answer to all of
our problems but it is not! It just takes our tax money and wastes it. That
money is ours and it is stolen from us. A guy from the street can take your
money and that's steeling but if that same guy is wearing a government
uniform, all of a sudden, it becomes right. I believe that we should have to
pay some taxes for things but if our money is going to be taken from us at
gunpoint, then we should atleast have a say in where it goes. If you want to
debate this more, send me your e-mail address. I'm open to debating this
with anyone. But this isn't the right place for it.

Hi Michael,
H... Well, in that case I will strongly reconsidder using timers
alone to preserve originality for originality sake.
I can always set the time to be specific to the difficulty so that it is

So I will make the change in my latest patch for the beta team coming

Hi Davy,
Do you want a snake preview or a sneak preview?
Or do you want both a sneak snake preview?
If you count the Basilisk as a large snake then that might be giving away
too much.
Actually, there are other snakes I could preview.
In the patch 3 the goblin now wears shoes so you will hear him walking.
I've improved the accio spell,
added the flagellate spell,
fixed some of the headless hats,
made more use for the burning and fire put out spells.
But maybe I should look up my list of changes and post them.
smiles,
Phil

I think you could always state 30 pounds sterling, that way no matter what

Hi Damien,
How about setting your prices depending on the persons country or currency?
You are right that since the Brittish pound currently has a higher
exchange rate than the dollar some gamers may not want to pay the extra
exchange rate to equalise things. Then, again if that is your price to
be of value you may have to do what you have to do.

Re: [Audyssey] Patch 3 for the Sarah game

2007-04-18 Thread Dark
A sneaky, snaky preview would be fun indeed. Even though I obviously have
the game, I love hearing people play it and talk about it (yes! a subtle
hint to Raul and any other audio recording people out there). I'd do it
myself, accept playing the game on speakers just doesn't work for me.

A full list of changes would deffinately be a good thing Phil, if possible.

all the best,

Dark.

[Audyssey] Fw: [access-uk] Sara Morgan, R I P

2007-04-18 Thread Ari
Sorry this is so late, but it's very sad news and I've seen no mention of
this on the Audyssey list, and I know that many enjoyed Damon and Sara's
show.

Re: [Audyssey] Patch 3 for the Sarah game

2007-04-18 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Davy,
Do you want a snake preview or a sneak preview?
Or do you want both a sneak snake preview?
If you count the Basilisk as a large snake then that might be giving away
too much.
Actually, there are other snakes I could preview.
In the patch 3 the goblin now wears shoes so you will hear him walking.
I've improved the accio spell,
added the flagellate spell,
fixed some of the headless hats,
made more use for the burning and fire put out spells.
But maybe I should look up my list of changes and post them.
smiles,
Phil

 Hello,
I realize this topic is off the scope of this list, but I still feel
 it
important. I just wanted to extend my hope that nobody on here was in
 any
way affected by the horror that went on at Virginia Tech this morning.
 I
don't know for sure that anybody here is from Virginia or anything, but
 it
is a very small world, especially these days, so I can't be sure.
My best wishes and thoughts and prayers go with you all.
 Yours,
 Zack.

You can set your vacation mode.

Visit www.audyssey.org and click the link for the mailing list, there you
can log in and set your delivery options to off. There is an email way of
doing it as well, but right now I'm too lazy to type out the instructions.
You can look those instructions up on the list archives though. .

Re: [Audyssey] question about the vanishing platforms in monti

2007-04-18 Thread Michael Feir
Personally, I would be in favour of platforms having a set time as James had
it. There are other areas where randomness would better serve the game.
However, you've ultimately got to figure out what suits you and your testers
best. I now have confidence that you'll produce for us a faithful rendition
of this classic game. One thing you might want to look at is having more
randomness introduced as the difficulty level increases. Alternatively, you
could have one mode of play which is absolutely faithful to the original and
another which attempts to enhance the game with ideas you and your testers
come up with. Which ever way you go, I know I'm in for a terrific time.

Re: [Audyssey] OT: Virginia Tech

2007-04-18 Thread mark bishop
I apologise to the moderators for continuing this thread but I felt I had to
reply.
You said that if students could carry guns this guy could have been 'cut
down' this still means that at least one person would have been killed. You
are supposed to be living in a Christian country. The God that I am
currently reading about in the bible does not want anyone to die whether one
or thirty three. Every time this happens in your country the president
comes out and says how sorry he is, well if he is he will do something about
it. It is ludicrous that in most states of the US you can not drink alcohol
legally until 21 but you can shoot a gun at 18. I also heard someone
talking on our radio today stating that when they were in your country they
visited a mall and were not allowed to smoke but again it was fine to carry
a gun.
Please explain off line of course
