Actually, maybe not jumping enough. And speaking about BryanP, wasn't he
the
guy that made an excellent walkthrough for this game? Check out

It is too quick for you because you aren't moving fast enough to stay

[Audyssey] Game Shots

2007-05-02 Thread Gary Whittington
Hello Computer Sports Gamers!fans.
I am going to begin a new feature on the gamer listcalled Game shots.
This will allow you to learn about the Strat-o-Matic games. I will show a
screen shot then give detail information what your text reader isreading.
As this time the SOM games have Jaws configurations to make the games
accessible.

With new features being add to the different sport games I needed a nice
linear way to update my help files and audio instructions in the

http://www.playball.ws

Strat Instructional Jukebox.
So, by working on this I will take this chance to kill two birds with two
stnes. Hmm? Please don't tell any don't be cruel to animals organizations.

Let's get started!
Below is a the first screen that appears in the Strat Baseball Game.
graphic 976 Manager

AS we see the first item is the title bar. DuringGame Shots the Menu bar is
not shown. For some reason the Virtualize the window command does not pick
up the menu bar.

Next, we see there are three lists. A League list, a Team and player list.
Clicking on a League allows you to then click on a certain team. ONce a
team has been selected you can then click on a player. What ever list has
focus information is displayed at the bottom of the screen. In this game
shot I have clicked on 1940:Chicag AL:Luke Appling.

The display area for a player is broken down into two parts Player stats
and ratings.
I have created a nice little Jaws script to allow one to able to check out
players percific stat tracker. This works like this you move the Jaws
cursor over a certain item on the players stat or rating. Then using the
Insert+down arrow key, the PC cursor will then move down the list say the
name of the player and then reads the word under Jaws. So if you wanted to
know how many doubles each player has on a team this Hot key is very useful.
This Hot Key is used throught the game and is one of my Jaws scripting or
Framing to help make this and other Strat games accessbile, playable and
fun.

To find out more on my work with the Strat games and how you can pickup a
Demo baseball game swing on over to

http://www.playball.ws

Next Time on Game Shots we take a peep at the Lineup screen to set your line
ups.

Crash

[Audyssey] New Article: The Role Of The Mouse In Audio Games

2007-05-02 Thread AudioGames.net
(from AudioGames.net)

New Article: The Role Of The Mouse In Audio Games

The mouse is an accurate and versatile input device and it is used in many
mainstream games as a pointing device to direct soldiers to specific spots,
aim at enemies and turn the camera. These are things visually impaired
gamers won't need to do often in games. Audio games hardly use the mouse as
an input device. In this article Brian Bors discusses why and examines why
the use of the mouse might make audio games more fun, backing up his
arguments with small downloadable examples.

You can find the article on Game-Accessibility.com through the following
link:

Richard
