[Audyssey] 7-128 Software Problem

2007-12-06 Thread John Bannick
Steve,

Sorry for the several day delay.
We've tried everything anyone here can think of in order to replicate your
download problem.
No luck.
The only problem we encountered was on a little tiny 256 meg PC running XP,
where the download was slow.
(I'm surprised that that computer could run XP at all!)
And our ISP checked the forensics on her servers to see if the problem
you've encountered is at her end.
Again, no luck.
I do recall having the same problem some time in the past couple of years
when I was downloading a large file from some other developer's site and
having it hang at the 99% downloaded mark.
But I can't remember how I resolved it. Possibly by turning off my
antivirus, but that is not a good thing to do, ever, under any circumstances.

If you have the patience, and still have any interest, please try to
download one of the demo games, rather than the Game Book demo. The new
Synonyms and Antonyms game is only 500 kilobytes of data and the Kim's Game
puzzle game is only a meg and a half. If the problem is related to file
size (the Game Book is 50 meg because it includes the Java engine) then
maybe we can figure a way around this.

Sorry for the headaches,

John Bannick

Hi Thomas,

Yeah I have stolen, borrowed or wrote some good tag lines over the years. Been
collecting them since the time when all Email programs affixed them to your
message so they could be found every where.

Just a hint for Homer on a Harley version 2. The rocket booster is best used
on or just after the ramp.

[Audyssey] Montezuma's Return pre-ordering now available.

2007-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hello gamers,
USA Games Interactive is happy to announce that we are now taking
pre-orders for Montezuma's Return for $35.00 USD. You can quickly pay
now with your Visa, Discover, American Express, or Master Card with our
express checkout system using Paypal.com's IPN service. To begin your
adventure with Angela Summers and Montezuma's Return buy it now at:
http://www.usagames.us/store.php
What are the advantages of pre-ordering Montezuma's Return rather than
waiting for 1.0? Be able to unlock any and all betas between now and
1.0. Have your key before Christmas, and be able to buy Montezuma's
Return for a friend or loved one as a Christmas present. Be able to help
find and fix bugs before Montezuma's Return reaches 1.0 stable without
being limited to a demo. Be able to give suggestions and pointers you
think might improve the game before it is finalized. With all these
reasons why wait?

Sincerely,
Thomas Ward
President of USA Games Interactive

[Audyssey] Monte, registered version, first thoughts

2007-12-06 Thread Karl
Hi,
I have played some of the registered version, and here are some thoughts:
1. I noticed the second level isn't a bonus level any more. Will there
still be bonus levels later?
2. I like what is now level 4. It's a lot of fun.
3. There needs! to be a yes/no prompt when loading or saving games. I
had a really good game going on level 4, and accidentally hit f3 instead of f4.

Then 2 hours later, you said,

would you please clarify what the preorder price is.

2007-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Everyone,
I strongly recommend to everyone not to install or use Beta 2, and here
is why. When that version was released it involved some damaged registry
keys. That is one reason I immediately fixed the problem and released
Beta 3. As a result if you begin having registry errors with later betas
or Beta 2 is unable to save or restore info it is because it has some
bad Registry keys.
There is a reason why USA Games removed these older versions, and why we
do not recommend installing some of these older versions. Beta 2 is an
example of something that can truly damage your stable Monte
installations without good reason.
Cheers.

Re: [Audyssey] Montezuma's Return pre-ordering now available.

2007-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Richard,
Yes, I will explain this. Initially I was going to offer a discount of
$30.00 to everyone during the month of December. however, as I was
finalising things I remembered why I needed to tack an extra $5.00 on
the initial sale price. Around $30.00 I keep for myself and USA Games.
The other $5.00 covers things like taxes and the Paypal.com fee for
processing credit card orders. As I soon realised if I put the game on
sale for $30.00 this early in it's development I wouldn't be clearing
much off of the game after taxes and credit card processing.
I hope this clears things up, and gives you insite as to why we decided
to stick to the plan of $35.00 USD.
Thanks.

Hello Karl,
In order to introduce the standard mode of game play we had to convert
the bonus levels into standard levels of game play. So no there won't be
any bonus levels unless we remove the standard game play option.
As for a yes/no prompt to save and load games that is possible. We will
look into adding it to Beta 8.

Unless its installed virtually grin. I have all the monty instalations
installed to virtual containers. I can run each version individual of each
other, even though they appear to be installed in the same place. If I want
to delete it, i simply delete the container, and all changes vanish. If you
guys don't have such programs though, it's definitely not recommended
installing it.

 Hi Richard,
Yes, I will explain this.
I hope this clears things up, and gives you insite as to why we
 decided
to stick to the plan of $35.00 USD.
 Thanks.

Currently, monte is scheduled to go on sale for $30.00 USD during the

 is a
bargon to buy while it is in pre-order.

Then 2 hours later, you said,

USA Games Interactive is happy to announce that we are now taking
 pre-orders for Montezuma's Return for $35.00 USD.

would you please clarify what the preorder price is.

2007-12-06 Thread william lomas
hi all

will the bonus levels be there in monty in arcade mode?
surely it is worth keeping those as it adds even more challenge to an
already tough sounding game, smile
we could have them in standard mode, maybe one only earns extra lives
in these levels in standard mode lol!
