Lol, geek mythology. That another name for D&D manuals?

My bad, I forgot about the forbidden part. While it'd be cool for the little 
mini bosses to have special attacks, I guess if you're going for straight 
mythology it wouldn't make a lot of sense. One thing you could do is have 
the cyclops, just as an example, do some kind of power attack. I don't know 
if you actually had it wielding a weapon or if it was just using its fists, 
but if it has no weapon you could always have it make a grapple attempt and 
if successful, throw Angela up against a wall for large damage, or with a 
club, have it draw back and swing for a power attack you'd have to avoid. 
Just a suggestion.

One little thing that can be easily changed.
The SAPI voice says 3 hundred and 57 magnum.
It should be 3 57 magnum, with a space between the 3 and the 57 so the 
voice will say it correctly.

Hi,
Actually, what you heard was my original sounds and music for the game. I 
legally own 99% of the sounds and music that was previewed in the demo. In 
fact, the only sound effects that were borrowed from Tomb Raider were the 
ones for Lara Croft which I have been using as a place holder for Angela 
Carter. The rest is all  original USA Games audio content.
As for the Cyclops at the end of level 1 he is a type of mini-boss of sorts. 
The reason he doesn't have any special attacks is because Geek mythology 
doesn't really mention any for the ;Cyclopses in the epics. While it is true 
the Cyclopses did create Zues's thunderbolt, Hades's helment, and Posidan's 
trident the Cyclopses were  forbiddento use those weapons themselves. The 
only thing besides their skill as master weapon creators they are known for 
is their large size and superhuman strength. Thatis why no special attacks, 
moves, etc.
As far as the main boss you have to fight here is a hint. In the Hall of 
Wisdom you get to ssquare off witht Kampe the dragon who guards the Orgb of 
Wisdom. She is really going to be mean and tough.  She has two attacks. She 
can hit you with fire breath at a distance or hit you with her scorpion tail 
up close. Either way you are in deep trouble.

kind of neat to see platforming elements introduced into the more 
difficult boss battles as well, would add a whole new level of intensity.

Hi Reinhard,
As for the sound when picking up arrows we will probably update that sound 
as soon as we find one that sounds good enough to  add to the game. The ammo 
sound is there more or less as a place holder.
As far as footsteps goes we have it mixing four different footsteps for each 
surface, but I think something is wrong with the code that randomly selects 
the step sound. In any case we will be finalizing the sound effects between 
now and the release.

I really don't know at this point. Best answer I can give is it is released 
as soon as I am certain it is stable enough for the general public.
As it happpens I wanted to release a demo this week, but my private test 
team felt it isn't ready for the public yet. There are some issues we want 
to take care of before there is a demo offered to the public.

[Audyssey] the trukz game

[Audyssey] a rather interesting jfw script

hi list.
on another list i'm on, mention was made of a very interesting sounding jfw 
script
its called hotspot clicker.
esentially it allows you to define hot keys for things that jfw normally can't 
do, for example if a particular area of the screen needs to be clicked or jfw 
doesn't work well with somethings controls.
anyway, I wonder if it might be possible to use this set of scripts some how to 
make smugglers 4 a bit more friendly.
can some jfw script developers comment on this?

   You need to make sure the compatibility mode is turned on.  It's a 
toggle that needs to be reset each game, for now.

Nope, you're done with the statues, thankfully. You just have to fight the 
dragon six more times. Then when you have all seven pieces you have to make 
a trip back to see the Guildmaster to gain access to the adventure where you 
repair the wand. Unfortunately the final showdown with the Iron Dragon 
hasn't yet been implemented, although in the meantime you can use the wand 
in normal combat. It's actually pretty cool.

game,  but that's really not a problem sinse everything there is

Well personally I never turned off even the music in S3, I just wore
some 
good headphones, but to answer your question, the music in S4 is indeed 
quieter, so having it on or not is a matter of preference rather than 
necessity.

Well personally I never turned off even the music in S3, I just wore
some 
good headphones, but to answer your question, the music in S4 is indeed 
quieter, so having it on or not is a matter of preference rather than 
necessity.

Couldn't agree more, I think he's great myself. He really has taken the
time and he's not just said that he'd work on it and forget it, he's
made the compatability mode as part of every update and he's made it
clear that he's working on it in every update. Is the blind mode
switched on by default??

  I agree, to blame the developer of this game for it not working
smoothly 
with jaws is a little nutty.
  I think with some more moderate scripting, the game could be made
playable 
without too much difficulty by jaws, but I myself don't enjoy poking
around 
trying to find something on the screen, I am big on easy and intuitive 
interfaces, as anyone who has played my games can attest.
  I took a stab at writing some jaws scripts for smugglers, but even
with 
the scripts, some information was seemingly impossible to read, but that
is 
more likely a failure on my part, not the games.
  I have never used hal, so not sure what it is doing differently, but
if it 
makes the game easy to play without extra coding, it is definately doing

more than jaws is so far.
  When I heard Neals was developing some features that would make his
game 
accessible, I went ahead and bought it, not sure if I would like it or
not, 
because it didn't matter if I liked it.  I wanted to support this
effort, so 
maybe other mainstream game developers would see us blinks are willing
to 
support their efforts to include us.
  I am a jaws scripting hobbyist at best at this point, so maybe with a
more 
advanced scripter it would be possible to get the game working smoothly.
If 
anyone knows a person out there that might be into giving it a shot,
tell 
them to go for it.
  In the end, no matter the results, Neals has gone much farther in
trying 
to make his game accessible than almost all the other mainstream game 
developers out there, and for that he deserves our thanks.
