Hi. I've never got any messages reguarding dos and fullscreen mode, - are you using xp or vista? To stop the thing running in fullscreen, just press alt enter (you have to do this several times while playing Eamon delux), and to answer your question, no, in Eamon delux at least you can certainly read the entire screen without any trouble.
