Hello Mike,

The connection information is below
Host: dentinmud.org
Port: 3000
They also have a blind-friendly port that will strip the ansi colors and
text from the game.

Host: dentinmud.org
Port: 3010
Most blind and visually impaired users use this port.

To get a sound pack for both Alter Aeon and toastsoft.net's Miriani that is
universally accessible with both games, and it also has a script that makes
adding games easy.

Valiant8086 can tell you more -- he created it!

Hope this helps.

Hi.

I'm thinking of giving alterean a try, sense apparently it's a good

to learn about mudding on allbeit a little hack and slash.

I was wondering however if there was a soundpack available which I could

with Vip mud, sense; I do enjoy having sound in games.

I read about a customized version of mushclient which included a

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Subject: [Audyssey] a strange way of posting to the GMA mailing list

Hi all
I just need you to be aware of something.
I have gone to the GMA website and clicked on contact us and I wrote a
message that I wish to join the GMA mailing list.
And I was added to the mailing list indeed.
But the strange thing is: I cannot type the address of the mailing list
 into the to: field.
After I was added to the mailing list, when I opened a post from the list,
 I
 noticed that the address is:
 gmagamest...@googlegroups.com

however, when I type this address into the to: field, and I type my
 subject
line and message body and I hit send, google sends me an error e-mail
 back
telling me the group doesn't exist.
Even if I open a post from the GMA mailing list and I move to the to:
 header
and I right click and I choose ad to contacts.
Even then I cannot successfully post to the list.
If I click on the to: button and I choose

 gmagamest...@googlegroups.com
from the list, and I send my message after typing the subject and body,
google sends me the same error e-mail.
I have mentioned the problem on the GMA list, but nobody there have an
 idea
 what causes the problem.
So the only way I am able to post to the list, is to hit reply
 (control+r)
on a post I got from the list, then delete the subject and message body
 and
type my subject and message. Then only does my post reach the list
 successfully.
If I wish to post to the list again, all I do is:
I go to my sent items folder, then I find a message that I have sent to
 the
list by replying to a post from the list.
so I find the most recent post I sent to the list, I open it and I press
 control+shift+r for reply to all.
I then delete my own address.
Because if I only hit reply, only my own e-mail address appears in the
 to:
 field.
So I have to hit control shift r, which will then put my address in the
 to:
field as well as the list's address.
So I delete my address, and I delete the subject, and I type the subject
 and
message body, and send it and it reaches the list successfully.
Lately, however, I have found out something.]
I once more go to a recent post I sent to the GMA list, then I hit reply
 to
 all.
Then I delete my address, the subject an message body from it.
 And in the subjectline I write;
 Type your subject line.
And in the message body I write:
 Type your message body.
Then I hit escape and I answer yes.
Now I have a blank message in my drafts folder addressed to the GMA list.
Next time when I want to post to the list, I just go to my drafts and I
 make
a copy of that blank message.
Because if I do not, that message is removed from my drafts folder once I
 sent the message.
So I highlight the blank message addressed to the GMA list.
Then I hit control c and control v right after each other.
So now I can clear the subject line and message body an type my subject
 and
 message body.
Next time if I want to post again to the list, I do the same thing.
Copy the blank message and open it, and clear the subject line an body an
write my own subject line an body.

[Audyssey] super egg hunt 1.3

2009-08-30 Thread Hayri Tulumcu
News from L-works:
I am hoping in the next week to release super egg hunt 1.3. But I'm looking for
any bugs or changes you might have found. The major update in this release will
be new modes. What are new modes you ask? Well I've listed the possible modes
below.

normal game:
standard game with eggs, chickens, clocks. The mode that has always been in the
game.
survival mode
collect as many eggs, but once a chicken touches you, it's game over. Every ten
seconds, the chicken gets a little faster.
chicken coop
smaller grid, and more chickens
minute rush:
collect as many eggs in 60 seconds as possible. no chickens and no clocks.
classic
just eggs

Feel free to leave any comments you have.

if you want on that list. you have to go to the web site,
http://www.gmagames.com/
The list is locked, and can not be joined just by sending a email.
you have to send David a email requesting to be on the list. That is
the only way.

At 03:24 AM 8/30/2009, you wrote:

Sorry, it does not work.
Google sends me the same error e-mail that the group does not exist.
I copied the address exactly as you typed it and I pasted it into the to:
field, and I finished my message and hit send but I get the same error
e-mail from google.

 And in the subjectline I write;

[Audyssey] urgent letter from mister cornelius fudge

2009-08-30 Thread Nicol
Well guys, mister fudge is not aware that sarah good has changed into
dumbledore by means of the polli juice potion so mister fudge got word that
dumbledore was attacked by moaning murtle and that moaning murtle took away
all his magical energy at once.
Thus dumbledor is as good as dead.
Dumbledore had roughly 14000 bits of magical energy before he was attacked
by murtle.
Dobby went to the ministry of magic and told mister fudge what happened.
I, headless nick , was just fortunate to drop into the caretaker's office
and I found the following letter sent by mister fudge by owl post.
The letter is addressed to mister filch and it comes from mister fudge.
It reads:
Dear mister filch
It has come to my a ttention that mister albus dumbledore was attacked by
moaning murtle.
That is the biggest disgrace a headmaster could suffer.
Moaning murtle viciously attack mister dumbledor, taking away all his
magical energy.
It is therefore my friendly, yet urgent request that you expel murtle from
hogwarts.
Our hogwarts ghosts should always PAY respect TO STAFF MEMBERS, especially
the headmaster.
It's the most unrespectfull thing for a ghost to do: to viciously attack
the headmaster, taking away all his magical energy.
I hope the above is in order
Yours in dissatisfaction
Cornelius fudge
Minister of magic

Re: [Audyssey] Alterean soundpack?

2009-08-30 Thread mike maslo
Oh this is alter eon. I do not like this mud anymore. I do not like anything
that requires kill kill kill and once in a while quests. I also do not like
things that where if you kill enough you get xp to rain your skills. No
thanks on this one. I still play maiden desmudus.

What I am really looking for is a mud that:

1. is where no elves, druids or anything from mid-evil and/or stuff like
that. I want basically human beings
2. modern day and not assassins, thieves, et how absolutely boring or played
out
3. where you can get houses cars etc
4. where you do not need to earn skills or where xp is not the name of the
game

Anyone know anything close to this??

 Hi.

I'm thinking of giving alterean a try, sense apparently it's a good
 mud

to learn about mudding on allbeit a little hack and slash.

I was wondering however if there was a soundpack available which I could
 run

with Vip mud, sense; I do enjoy having sound in games.

I read about a customized version of mushclient which included a
soundpack, but would this work for Vip mud? and if so, what would I
need to get it to run?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

[Audyssey] the elves' rudeness

2009-08-30 Thread Nicol
Hi gamers
Just guess who is with me in my bedroom at the moment.
Nobody else than nearly headless nick.
He's got some sad news to tell ya all.
So I will move away from my pc so that he can do the typing.
Sir nick, the pc is yours.
Go ahead.
Thank you very much.
Hello
Sir nick writing.
I have a very sad story to share.
I saw dobby storming out of the castle, his whole body shaking with terror.
I will tell you what happened, I followed him all the way.
It appears that he unlocked the front door by elve magic.
I saw dobby going up the one street, then down another.
His whole little body still shaking tremendously.
Many wizards and witches stares at him in utmost shock.
They wanted to ask him what is the matter.
Hundreds of witches calls:
Dobby, dobby, what is the matter!
But dobby just walks on, sobbing with terror.
At last I can see dobby goes in at the ministry of magic.
Dobby approaches a witch at the reception.
He sobs, he can hardly speak.
Mam, mam, dobby, wants, dobby, wants to see mister fudge plese.
The witch takes dobby to mister fudge's office, I followed him and the witch
as they went into the elevator.
At last they reach the storey where mister fudge is working.
The witch knocks at his office.
Sir fudge, dobby has come to see you, it looks like terrifying business.
Mister fudge says in his kind voice:
come in dobby; sit down.
dobby sobs, tears streaming down his tennis ball eyes.
sir fudge, sir fudge.
Dobby sobbs so much so that he cannot speak properly.
Calm down dobby and tell me what is the matter.
Misses elkington, please bring dobby some tea.
After dobby gulp down the tea in one big gulp, he began speaking.
Still sobbing.
Sir fudge, dobby, dobby, need to tell sir, that something terrifying has
happened.
Of course dobby does not know that sarah good, an intruder into the hogwarts
castle, has changed herself into dumbledor with the polly juice potion).
dobby need to tell sir that the headmaster, mister dumbledor has visited
the elf living quarters.
And he wanted to greet the elves and wish them a happy summer holiday.
I mean, sir, surely, the elves can just be awake for alittle wile, greeting
the headmaster.
Its not as if mister dumbledor wants them to work during the summer
holidays.
They can, out of respect, be awake for 1 minute?
He just wants to greet them all.
So, I saw mister dumbledor knocking on one of the room's doors.
And 100 rooms birst open.
Dobby's sobs gets worse again.
100 rooms opened at once, and the elves screamed at dumbledor in rude,
ugly voices.
It appears that dumbledor has lost some magical energy.
And I could see some ugly bruise marks and swollen places on his body.
Dumbledor was too horror struck to do something at that moment.
He just left the elve living quarters in total shame and terror.
Mister fudge almost tore his clothes out of shock.
I can't, I can't believe this!
The elves shows total disrespect to dumbledor.
I will visit the headmaster and we will come up with a plan of action.
The elves must be punished for this.
They should respectfully greet the headmaster whether its their resting time
or not!
Its never askd too much to be awake for a minute.
And who knows? Maybe dumbledor decided to surprise them with some snacks
and drinks when he visits them!
Ungrateful, disrespectful little beasties!
Roared mister fudge through his mustache.
Thanks for bringing this under my attention, dobby.
I will make work of this.
I will make sure the elves gets disciplined sternly.
But wy didn't you nott go to dumbledor?
sir, dobby did not want to wake dumbledor.
I was in his office's entrance hall but I heard him sleeping, so I didn't
want to wake him.
well anyway, thanks for bringing this under my attention.
once the elves awaken to eat something or go to the toilet, plese sternly
speak to them and warn them that myself and dumbledor is going to deal
with them.
thanks so much sir.
Dobby looks better now.
enjoy your day, sir.
you too, dobby.
Now me, nicol is back in front of my pc.
One last thing before I hit send.
Maybe, maybe, just, maybe, phil can jump in and save the elves from trouble
before getting stern punishment from fudge and dumbledor.

[Audyssey] two text wrestling games discovered, 100% accessible!

2009-08-30 Thread Matheus
hello everyone. since i love wrestling games, today i decided to search
for some good ones, but
only in text, and downloadable games, since a lot of time these days i'm
not with a internet
connection available, but like to play a game.
the games that i found are menu based, depending in what actions you can
do, it lists the
number / letter to press and the action that it will do (i.e: 1: kick 2:
punch) etc.
believe me, the replaiability factor in the games is unlimited. there
are a lot of possibility
to execute different tipes of moves, and you never will have the same
battle.
in both games you can create new wrestlers, but in the second game there
are more than 250 to
choose from. the games allow you to create tournaments, singles / tag
battles, etc...
and although the descriptions in battle are simple, they are enough to
show you what's
happening. forget about hp, it doesn't show stats during fights, just
the condition (i.e: poor,
good, fair, etc)
i had, and will have a lot of fun playing these games, and i hope that
you guys like it as well
this is for true wrestling fans.
p.s: games are run in dos, if it runs slow on your computer, tell here
and i'll pass the
instructions to improve performance
first game, called:
Wrestling League Simulator can be found here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/rhmmjo
here is the second game, and in my opinion, the better one.
calledPILEDRIVER. can be found here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/dbxj5k
enjoy!!!
