[Audyssey] vipmud-making keys?
When I tried to make a new key in the editor itself, it doesn't seem to want to take the numpad keys. When it prompted me to enter keystroke, I hit numpad1 and it showed up as: 1NUMPAD1, and when I saved, that key's gone. So, I tried the other way, typing #GKey numpad1 {inventory} and that got it made, but then when I went to check that key, it is not asigned to any script rofl. Re: [Audyssey] off topic: qbasic compiler
Hi Tristan, Basic and Visual Basic are two different programming languages. What Nick was asking about is something similar to QBasic for Dos. Visual Basic .NET is something completely different. As far as your claim that Visual Basic Express has more accessibility issues than the commercial version that's false. I've used both without issue, and the are the same accessibility wise. What accessibility issues are you speaking of? Thanks. Tristan B wrote: You will need a compiler, Visual Basic would be your best bet, from Microsoft's site. It does cost a good handful of cash, though. So watch that. I have Ms Vb.net, and I think its definitely worth it if you don't have to pay anything, because there is a free version of VB.net, I believe. The free version has more accessibility issues though, so just giving you a heads up there. Its on the Microsoft Visual Basic website, just try googling it should be in the first three results. Re: [Audyssey] off topic: qbasic compiler
Nick, To compile a program, I think you need the -c switch. Assuming gwbasic is in c:\gwbasic, and your source is in that same directory, go to run on your start menu, and type cmd. Hit ENTER, and type: cd c:\gwbasic Then type: gwbasic -c source This will take your source file and compile it into source.bas. To run a compiled program: gwbasic output.bas If -c does not work you can look up gwbasic syntax on a search engine (I haven't used it in a while but this should help you get started.) Re: [Audyssey] question on sarah the game
Hi Michael, You can email me directly if you want more information but along with what Dark said, I am working on an update to the Sarah game that will use the same registration so both the existing version 1.1 and the new one, 1.2 will use the same registration key. Yes I had to create the sounds and voices but the names of characters and objects are what you find in the Harry Potter books. I tried to blend the first five books together in one game so you have the seven Puzzle rooms from the first book, Chamber of Secrets from the second book and the honeyduke's sweet shop from the third book. You also may find yourself in the lake from the forth book. As I started working on the game right after book five, the time that you visit Hogwarts is during the Summer Holidays right after the end of Harry's fifth year, so you get some of the rooms from the order of the Phoenix like Umbirdge's office with the kitten pictures. I think the current version is about 170 MB so it is a large download, and you can play on the ground floor and basement levels for free so you can try it out before buying it. It costs $31.95 USD for a registration and is sold only through Draconis as they have developed an excellent shopping cart system. In the update I am adding several things that were in the sixth and seventh books but could have existed at the time of the game. For example Fred and George left Hogwarts before the end of book five to set up their joke shop. So several of their products are in the game as I assume they perfected their development during the school year, such as testing skyving snack boxes on the younger students. The snack boxes are only in the update not the current version. The game has game pad and joystick controller support and surround sound capability but not on-line play/ Any other questions can be sent to, p...@pcsgames.net Phil - Original Message - From: "michael barnes" To: Sent: Friday, September 04, 2009 5:42 AM Subject: [Audyssey] question on sarah the game in the sarah game do it have the music and the characters voices init from the harry potter movies? can you use the keyboard and controller? what is the newest version of the game? and how much does it cost? and where can i find the game? and if i get the game will i be getting the new version aswell? and have anyone got to the end of the game or does it just go on and on? last thing does it have an option to play offline and online? and how many mega bites is it? and does it go through the entire harry potter book serie or movie serie? -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Re: [Audyssey] problem with wrestling games
It's funny you mention Warzone on playstation 1. I've played quite a few wrestling games, from WWF Raw and The Arcade game on the Megadrive, to In Your House, and some of the newer ones such as Attitude, and the funny thing is that Warzone for me never seemed somehow accessible. I couldn't do much on there, I really wonder now why I was not good at it. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] question on sarah the game
Michael, the game uses voices and samples created by phil Vlasac, sinse the ones from the films are copywrite. Though it doesn't go through the entire series, you can explore the castle of hogwarts very completely and meet up with various characters such as filch the caretaker and the ghosts. It also is heavily story based, and has an ending, and yes, when Phil upgrades to a new version you get that -- though I actually can't think of any developer of pc games who wouldn't give you new version upgrades of the same game, - though of course sequals in a game series are considdered separate and charged as such. to find out more, either go directly to http://www.pcsgames.net/ to read about sarah, download the demo and buy the game if you wish, or, --- to read more information, look up sarah on the www.audiogames.net database which has (hopefully), reasonable amounts of information about audio games on it's pages including links to reviews and (again hopefully), helpful discriptions, I actually think the audiogames.net database could help you when your looking at particular games as you were with the wrestling game earlier on, that's it's intention anyway. [Audyssey] Drone text rpg
Hi. Someone on the audiogames.net forum noticed that the game Drone originally written by Dan Zingaro and modified by Jim kitchin is no longer available. I can't remember who was hosting it, but it'd be nice if someone could sinse it was a game that certainly had it's moments, though it's a tad too random for my taste. Perhaps X site, Tom ward or someone else could oblige with this one? Thanks in advance, Dark. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org.
