[Audyssey] Friday's Out of Sight events

2010-07-29 Thread Charles Rivard
Here are the events scheduled for Friday, July 30th:

Word Burst

6:00 PM eastern

Hosted by Kathy Mertz

Location: Game Zone

Do you love to play Outburst? Do you love words? Let's put the two together
and play Word Burst! Word Burst is the same as Outburst, except that you
don't call out items in categories, such as Elvis hits or makes of cars.
Instead, the members of each team call out anagrams of the word I will give
you. So come in and find the words within a word. Hope to see you there.

Game Night

8:00 PM eastern

Hosted by O-O-S Game Hosts

Location: Game Zone

Join us in the game Zone room at 8pm eastern tonight, July 30, for a night
of fun! What will we be playing? You will have to come and find out. We
can tell you this, if you like the games played on Out of Sight you will
love Game Night.

2010-07-29 Thread shaun everiss

hmmm
I wouldn't recomend macromedia flash anything.
in the case of teraformas it crashed way to often for my liking
though maybe that was because they used older versions to make the game.

Though its got potentual it just doesn't sit right with me.

Hello,

I believe the switch to w has been made because of some other functions
which were accessed with the D key which had made no sense if used with
another key.

Games are updated and improved through the use of patches instead of
entirely different cores and layouts in a lot of cases, aren't they? Games,

just like an OS, are software. Should it be absolutely necessary to buy a
game controller and never use your keyboard again if you want to play the 3D

version of MOTA, merely because it is a better method of game play?, or
should the keyboard still be an option.

Why get rid of something that works for you? Why should you have to learn
everything new just because it is the latest and greatest acording to the
manufacturer? Why couldn't they leave the layout and the operation of the
OS the way it was, and just make updates for security improvement? We
should not have to buy new machines or drives or printers just because the
OS has been totally reworked! Why should we need more computing power to do

what we once did with less? Being forced, and that is the key, to make vast

changes that cost a substantial amount of money in order to do what we could

already do, just for the sake of changing to what is new, is stupid and
should not be necessary. Anything that can be improved through updates
should be updated, not discarded and replaced with something totally
different, especially if older but still perfectly good components will
also, needlessly, have to be discarded and replaced. If twice as much
processor is needed to do what used to be done with half that much is
needed, what good is that?

Hi Josh,
It is impossible to answer that question. How "quickly" are you talking
about? How big a game? How much scripting knowledge? What features? See what
I mean? Please be more specific. But one thing I can say is this: you will
need to read the documentation.

Hi

I missed the announcement. will the new bgt have features to enable you to
make a game with little or no scripting knowledge? in other words to roll
out a game quickly?

Re: [Audyssey] railracer

2010-07-29 Thread weisi4u
Hi,

I also have been having many issues with the registration system. I payed
my $30 or whatever it was at the time... Was in 2008 I believe. It was
the first game I bought. Well, I first recieved a wrong registration
number. Secondly the registration number I recieved worked for 10 days.
The third one was working for a month, the fourth one didn't at all, and
now I have to pay for another one. And if I may say so, I have seen
better registration systems.

Re: [Audyssey] vipmud help

2010-07-29 Thread peter Mahach
if you want to do it the easy way just turn on your numlock, but you'll have
to hit enter each time you give it a direction. Alternatively you can change
the behaviure of the keys by going to the edit menu, then keys. find all the
keys you need (numpad1-9, plus and minus,) and hit control e on each one.
tab to the commands field and delete what's already there and type the
number. IE, if you're working with numpad8 type in 8 in the commands field.
after you finish all of the stuff, exit the keys dialog, go to file, save,
all scripts.

Hello I just got vipmud.

I play a mud called Miriani

up until this time I have been using monkeyterm.

when you fly the ship manually you can use the numpad like 8 is north 6 is
east and so on.

I really like VIP and wanted to find out if there is a way I can get the
same numpad to work in vip?

Thanks for all help!
