I would like to share a game which I purchased for the iPhone. It's called Moxie and is very fun. Basically it's a word building game, similar to scrabble, but you play it by yourself. There are 3 rows of squares going from left to right. Each row has 5 squares. 1 letter shows up and you have to decide on which square to place that letter. So for example, if the letter E shows up, I might place it in row 1, square 4 in case I can come up with a four-letter word ending with E. Then the letter B comes up, now I place it on row 1, square 1, Now I have B, blank, blank, E. So if I later get an I and a K, I can make the word BIKE. You do the same for the other rows. Once you have made a word, you get points. As you get additional letters, you can replace them over words you've done as long as you don't break the chain. So in the case of BIKE, I might have a letter of H which i place over the B making the word HIKE. And that would also give me additional points. If you do a search for the keywords iPhone and Moxie on Google, you can get to their site and read up more on it. As of yesterday and today, the game is free. [Audyssey] quake basics
So, I just downloaded the portable audio quake... and have a few questins. I never got into audio quake much, the mmanual was unclear, I found. So here are a few questions that pertain to the portable audio quake, hoping answers can be found here on the list. lol. 1. Could someone explain targetting basics? The manual goes on about it way too much and I'm not sure how it works. The manual isn't exactly clear in explaining it, at least not to me. lol.2. Could someone run through playing offline, if that is still possible with the portable version? Do people have any other tips for someone who is pretty much just starting out? lol. I did play for a while, but it's been 3 or 4 years and I've forgotten almost everything I now. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Dear all, I believe that inclusion is only fully achieved when all countries contribute to the international community. For a while now Sarah and I (both brazilians) were thinking about starting the translation of dosvox (a screen reader slash toolkit with a lot of applications such as agenda, calendar, easy-to-use mail client and chat online, etc), which is open source, to english. And here is when you come in: We need your voice! Dosvox's screens and applications are read with human voices and we believe it should not be different in english. we do not have any deadline for any work that is going to be done in here, but we would appreciat volunteers at this testing stage. if you would like to participate either this way, or contribute with your paid voice work (may be needed in the future) please contact me privately for details. If you would like to contribute but can't use or would not like to use your voice, also do so anyway and we will figure out something out for you. Cheers for complete inclusion!
