 Hi Clement,
agreed, this is a great read.
I definitely cant wait to get back into the fighting game scene
propperly asap. right now with my ps2 about to be sould off as i
won't have room for it, i'm saying fair well to Mk Da, AA and the
 early svr series. :(

Re: [Audyssey] De Steno releases windows game.

2011-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Michael,

Oh, the game itself runs fine. Its just NVDA acts sort of funky when
the text appears on screen and NVDA wants to spell each word instead
of speak them. I have to shut NVDA up, and review it with the review
cursor. I suspect there is probably some setting I have to set to get
NVDA to read the command prompt properly.

Cheers!

Re: [Audyssey] De Steno releases windows game.

2011-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,

Holy cow! Yeah, that would be an excellent reason for the game not to
work for him. As I recall Jaws 4.02 had problems with Windows command
prompt support. Later versions have obviously fixed this issue as I'm
not having any issues with Jaws 13 and the game. Another classic case
of why the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" attitude comes back to
bite the person in the end.

Cheers!

Hi,

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by turn off the speaking of
characters. I don't see any option remotely like that in the NVDA
preferences. Any clarification here would help.

Cheers!

2011-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi Jim,

What version of Jaws are you running. When I play Atlantic City
Blackjack using Jaws 13 it reads the text automatically. I did notice
though with NVDA it attempts to read the screen automatically, but
stutters as the text scrolls onto the screen. However, Jaws 13 seems
to work fine with the game.

Re: [Audyssey] swamp, connection interrupted in save zone

2011-12-06 Thread Dakotah Rickard
this happens to me too. It's not about the rep points or anything like
that. As I see it, the server loses connection, or the client does,
and there's no resynchronize feature. I was talking about that a few
days back. This'll happen to you if your connection is at all spotty.
My net's fine, but I connect wirelessly from time to time, and that
kind of puts me at risk.

Unfortunately, though it isn't really kind advice, I guess the advice
I got is good enough. Save often.

Living proof of how much time the top players in the word spend playing online.
Poonko is the one who beat Daigo, and even perfected him to send him to the
losers bracket at Evo. He's the Korean kid, who came third place at Evo. Here's
a seven hour broadcast... these are some awesome matches. Poonko plays Seth,
which is almost unheard of in Asia, if not in the community in general. Seth,
for those who don't know, is a very weird one to play as. His health and
endurance is crap, which is why noone thinks he's worth the time. I admire him
for doing so, and the tricks he can pull off with this bad boy are wicked. And
gotta love his English voice... me ha ha ha!

Re: [Audyssey] Accessibility Features for Hearing Impairments

2011-12-06 Thread Thomas Ward
Hi,

Well, all of my action games already have this feature. As you know in
MOTA and MOTA 3D there is the laser sight. The s key toggles targeting
on/off so people who need it can use it can and those who don't can ig
nore it. I'm sure other games I create will have similar
functionality.

Cheers!

Hi,

Glad to here that. Since all of my action games, especially the 3d

assume we are set. I'm certainly willing to add accessibility when and

Hello,
I was thinking of having a toggle setting. As you know, Chopper
Challenge was duly accessible for all players, as a beep would inform
you when you were centered to the copter man. Could there not be an
option to toggle this feature on and off, so that way, people with

By the time he gets a ps3... probably MK, SF, Street fighter x tekken, KOF

Re: [Audyssey] swamp, connection interrupted in save zone

2011-12-06 Thread Steady Goh
ok, i just played a while. my mp5 was broken. but after i escape escape in
the save zone and got the connection interrupted message, it is back again.
the chainsaw and armers i collected in this session are there. only the ammo
is not saved. it is reset back to the earlier session before this problem.

It shouldn't have anything to do with your rep points or level. When I
get a chance I will take a look and see if the server log on my end has
any clues about what's happening when it drops you.

Hi Jeremy, recently I keep getting
this "connection interrupted" error when i try to donate an
item or escape twice to save game after going out and
collect items. The weapons and ammo count will reset to the
previous successfully saved session. I do receive rep points
and exp points for the kills and messages come in fine. I
tried deleting the key.ini and progress.ini and didn't fix
the problem. No one else reporting this so looks like I am
the only one getting this error. I wonder if it has any to
do with my rep points having more than 1 or my level?
I'm level 21 now.

Re: [Audyssey] swamp: recoil can get you killed.

2011-12-06 Thread Johnny Tai
It happened to me too- and I died for it... I think again, we're supposed to
fight them on the run instead of standing there blasting away like Rambo- or
at least, that is what was said before. So from that angle, the panick and
delay is good.

[Audyssey] Swamp has arrived.

2011-12-06 Thread Christopher Bartlett
Ok, I've been beating on swamp quite a bit since the update, including
finally being able to run a coordinated team hunt with the new radio channel
feature (love it.) So far, I've not experience any of the weird things
others have. The game has been smooth and even more responsive. The
experience is there. I think we're ready for expansion, more map and
missions. I've finally gotten my character built up enough to have weapon
choices for specific occasions.

I think I can say that Swamp has now arrived as a mature first stage game.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next stage of features next week.

I definitely cant wait to get back into the fighting game scene

Re: [Audyssey] swamp, connection interrupted in save zone

Hi.
I have a suggestion. Having the get items menu in the safe zone tell you
how many of an item you have just like the donate items menu would be great.

Sent with Thunderbird 3.1.14 portable.

2011-12-06 Thread Jeremy Kaldobsky
For me, I tend not to use the rapid fire unless I'm being absolutely swarmed by
zombies. The moment I hear a few bullets impact the stronger zombies, I know
it will take far too many shots just to kill them and that's without even
shooting at all the others who are yet to be identified. These are the times
I'll switch to burst and do as much damage as I can. I completely agree that
burst mode against weak zombies is a quick way to waste ammo, but it's also the
fastest way to take down the really strong ones. I guess that just makes it
better based on the situation, which is good because it lets players have a
reason to switch.

You'll have to remind me what the AA and SVR series are, exactly. I can't
remember what those stand for right now. lol. But yes, it should be fun to
get back into the sceen... when you get a ps3 you'll have quite a few more

agreed, this is a great read.
I definitely cant wait to get back into the fighting game scene

Well, that and so whenever I get to play Yohandy I don't get my rear end

That is the type of windows 7 that he has.
A friend of mine has a 64 bit windows 7 computer and he said it runs good.
He is using System Access.

delays

weapon switching to a dangerous extent.

I'm torn about this. It models panic very nicely. It also seems to stack
cumulatively which might not be fair. Particularly with some of the
bigger

weapons, the recoil time is quite long in a situation when half seconds
count, such as being directly under attack. What do folk feel about the
