I haven't been able to get on the server either, but I have been playing with the custom maps. I have been practicing very as ways to get monsters from far distances. I did look for the last man standing admission, but it is not in my custom maps folder. I think I saw something about that on the audio games.net for him. its interesting to note I found vary few zombies in the stores. What I found was on the outside, zombies and loot though more loot than zombies. Yeah I have the same issue. I managed to get to a point where I could faintly hear my item but it was so faint I never could get a fix. I quit for the night and now I am stuck in a facking building, no quest, nothing bar what I was able to save before and buy. So I guess its time to reformat my char and restart though if this is so, I won't be coming back in a hurry. Its taken me 3 or 4 months of casual playing to get this far. [Audyssey] swamp issue
Hi. Found another swamp on swamp. If you try to join a mission but can't due to level or just get in the mission menu and try to go back it won't, if you try to many times the game will just crash and then you need to end the task. Also I managed to get enough rep to upgrade my level1 armour and found a couple of guns etc. I traded my sitory for more rep, got another sitory somewhere and hit a quest. My objective was in caymart. I weakly heard my objective finally after going round the place. However I got stuck and decided to just quit as I was to tired to continue. When I got back my shotgun is gone, and so is my quest. I don't actually care about that, but what I do care is that now I am stuck in a building seemingly with no way out really. I think at least in next version that we need control of our chars. Things like being able to return the char to the safe zone, would be good, obviously we would lose all our stuff that we didn't save in the safe zone. and maybe things like reset the char to 0 everything. Either that or just have the char always start in the safe zone no matter where he was when he quit the game. I did hit esc twice to save my game but if it just saves my position, then its lousy. THe quest and what I need is gone, I couldn't even find my item. And now I am stuck in a building. At this rate I think I will just have create another char. I am a vary casual player on swamp and was only just getting enough rep and loot to actually think of becomming a serious player. In general, note that the stores have been looted by people frantically trying to get supplies, and that they've also had a hord of zombies stagger through. Their rather messy. The item your looking for could be in any place in the building(s) that you need to look in. [Audyssey] Swamp quests
Hi all, I'm tentatively dabbling in Swamp, so forgive the newbie question. When you're on a quest, and you reach a building that's likely to contain the item you're searching for, what then? For example, if I were on a quest for replacement spark plugs and I've been instructed to check the places that sell car parts, my first instinct would be the Automart. When I get there, I can wander around inside the building to the most likely isles and go up to the parts counter, but I don't find anything. Any pointers appreciated... Hmm. There is a starship titanic game which exists but probably not accessable. There is the titanic scene in the zcode game called jigsore ofcause. There is also the titanic and beyond which is based on that partly. Unfortunately while the first game jigsore could be played by us with a zcode runner the other is dos based and will either have to be run in xp or other 32 bit os or a vm. However since this stuff was done for the old 386 16 bit/ 8 bit systems its likely that it will not work as expected or just run to fast to be of any real enjoyment. I can play things like cosmoserve but they run sounds to fast, its only because I played it on a 386 that I know what I am playing. The back space and other keys may or may not work either. However, I know that the dev of eamon is thinking of hacking the dosbox system, though he only mentioned a few lines in passing, something to the effect that the input was like old dos systems and text output was the same, and that in theory it wouldn't be much trouble to crack the os. Though he has been talking to the dosbox dev as he tries to fiture out how to run dosbox with eamon accessably. Ofcause if he succeeds in modifications of his dosbox project, then dosbox will be usable to us, which means all our old dos games ind interpriters, djgpp tads, hugo for dos, agt games and old dos zcode inform will work for us old timers again not to mention other stuff. However its early days yet. And on that note he has been slient of late. Usually I would give him a friendly shove and chat but right now I am to busy to shove, as doing that will most likely start another conversation arc that will take another week or 2 to finnish which is not at all a problem however right now I am working on new systems old systems and other junk. who knows when I will get some time. Hello people, I'm proud to release new beta release of my side scroller and my first game Aliens attack. Many things were changed: . Completely boosed the speed of things are being downloaded in real-time from the server . Added new weapons laser, cannon, rocket, grenade, nuclear bomb and arrow . improved all weapons and all things . Added jumping and running . Added health . added a 5 seconds timer for the nuclear bomb (during this time you need to go away at least 6 or 7 steps, because if not you'll die) . when applying nuclear bomb, it will affect you as well, if you're near it (5 feet right or 5 feet left) you'll die . updated the story . From now on, you can press any key to skip things are shippable . Boosed the speed of playing weapons and other things . When weapons are playing, you're from now on able to do other things . made a table significantly longer .
