[Audyssey] help with alter aeon
Hi, Wondering a few things: 1. Walked around the camp and found the dump. Wanted to pick up a pair of boots. In this case, there was I think 4 different pair of boots lying on the ground. When I use the command take boots, or get boots, it picks up the pair I didn't want. If I type in take studded boots, it doesn't seem to work like it should. In this case, how is the best way to pick up something that has multiple like items you can grab? 2. How does one view, or review, what clothing, armor, or weapon one is holding or wearing? I can take it off but that seems a long way to do it. 3. Got 3 rings. Two appear to be very similar. I tried using the compare command. But how do I compare properly? For instance, I had the 2 similar rings on and it would only compare those 2 rings. I took one off and tried again but it still compared those 2 rings and not the third ring. 4. How does one communicate with other players? Will double check readme, but don't remember seeing it. Only how to change channels. 5. Will the game automatically equip me with the best stuff I am holding? For instance, let's say I have 2 pair of boots in my inventory. If I say wear boots, will it put on the best one's for me. Re: [Audyssey] using mush z with alter aeon
Hi, Turns out I needed to add the mushreader.xml file in the plug ins. Then I had created my own mcl file. Once I used the alteraeon.mcl file, the sounds started to play. Works just fine now. Thanks for the assistance. BTW, for anyone who is going to start playing. Read the readme file on the main mush z home page. If I had paid attention the first time I skimmed thru it, I would have not needed to ask my original question since the answers were right there. Boy do I feel silly for even asking. So save your self and read the readme file as you go. Good luck. See you in the game. Control f12 is either in lua audio, or intrinsic to mushclient itself, I'm not sure. If you can send me a list of the plugisn you have installed, I can let you know if there are any differences I notice. --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. With mushz loaded, type: "tts" to enable speech, you should here "tts on". Then, press control f12, to enable sounds. You should here a beep, and "sounds on". --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. We are both running win 7 and the latest version of mush z. He is using window eyes and NVDA. I have NVDA also, but prefer to use jaws. His system is 64 bit, mine is 32. So we got thru the log in screen, but had to use the jaws cursor, or equivalent, to navigate it. While in the game. there too we had to use the jaws cursor, or equivalent, to read the output of the game. Plus no sounds played at any time. When we logged in the first time, we answered yes to the questions of are you blind and would you like to enable blind mode. And we are using port 3010. We both got to the camp at the beginning and stopped there. So why did we have no sounds? Is the game not supposed to read the output of the text automatically? Is there any setting for the screen readers to perform better? So far, so good. But was hoping to fix these minor issues. Thanks in advance. Hi Desiree, Thank you very much. As I said, I really don't know why I didn't think to add the bots in the first place. Oh well, I guess that it is one of those job security things. Have fun.
