Hi Leo, I do know for a fact that Railracer will run on Windows 7. I suspect the problem is you are missing a .NET component or dependency for the game. First, though, which version of Railracer is this. Is this Railracer 1.6 or the new Railracer 2? If it is Railracer 1.x you need to get and install Managed DirectX for .NET if you have not already done so. Without it you will get nowhere with the game. Second, what exactly is the error message. We can not help you debug the problem if you simply assume everyone knows what error you are referring to. I can tell you that we don't, and that kind of information is vital to any sort of resolution of the problem. Cheers! The game crashes for me as well, so maybe my description of the crash will help. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I have all versions of the .NET Framework installed from 1.0 through 4.5. I'm not sure if I have Managed DirectX, though my games use it, but I include the dlls in a a lib folder for that. A search for download managed DirectX takes me to this page: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 Where I download and run the installer, only to have it tell me that a newer version of DirectX was found and so installation doesn't need to continue. Entombed also works for me, does it use Managed DirectX? I installed railRacerDemo10. I got it from the BlindAdrenaline.com website within the past month so I expect it is the latest. Well, I will check. Although, I do remember that the error told me that I was missing a .net framework component. This is for version 1.6 of Rail Racer. So I've gone up a difficulty to demanding. I'm still a cindicatte captain. I'm not shooting at all at any cin ships. Am shooting only at clan and indipendents ships. It's fun to set rules like this for yourself. This also includes missions. Currently am in a sphere ship which is brilliant I love those ships. They don't have the best cargo bay but manoverability and firepower oh yes! I haven't tested these ships out on aliens yet so am looking forward to that. although I've read on the st forums that not all aliens are subseptable to guns or torps. So this will prove interesting. I am absolutely loving this game and the voiceover accessibility that trese brothers have implemented with this game so far has been fantastic. Yeah I wish there was more storyline I must admit. But it's the challenge to see just how far you can go before something bigger than you wacks you one. It's a game that I can either sit there and play inbetween doing stuff or sit and play for a few hours. I really liked StarTraders until after I did a whole bunch of work and died a whole bunch of times on challenging difficulty to get a bunch of the unlockables I got hard-core Ultra and whatnot so I could try and get the predator Zeyno torp Array the Omni stealth array and I unlocked both of those and it will not give them to me it says I haven't unlocked anything. I'm also waiting for updates, since when I play currently I never get to fully explore the planets since I keep having to make sure I don't irritate any one faction too much, and so must regulate which planets I visit and which contracts I take, which is slightly irritating for a game who's main dynamic point of gameplay both in trade and in military missions is the rumour system and the need to rome round a lot. I'm also looking forward to fixes on the conflict screen, since when I am able to for example take advantage of faction conflicts that could be fun. Beware the grue! I did the same, plus if a developer is going to add access fixes all the more reason to support them, however I do wish the games had a finite end like smugglers, since while playing until x happens is okay, it'd be nice if you could say buy a house and retire, or get to admiral in a faction and retire, or maybe for the criminal types just amass a huge amount of dosh and become a wealthy mob bos. It'd be nice to get some sort of closure in the game, for all I do enjoy how changeable the gameplay is. Beware the grue! Aliens killed me. I had one of the Divaldus Cyndicate ships. I could carry almost 100 cargo. I had a crew of 80. Alien ships are really difficult to get away from. Yes but why buy the lunockable's when you can unlock them. I think that I should be able to unlock them and I can't unlock them if I do what it says to unlock the particular thing and it doesn't unlock it. I'm the type of person that likes to unlock the stuff myself rather than pay to have it unlocked for me.
