Re: [Audyssey] Possibly off-topic: Derivation of Audyssey
Hi, I happened to read the notice and this just seemed to pop in my head. Where the word Audyssey come from? Does it combine certain parts of audio and odyssey in one word? Many thanks, cannot wait to try out the new website. Will it be audyssey.org? --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. [Audyssey] Games effect on the visual systems
Hello, I am not sure if this is completely game-related, but I guess this is in a way, since the way the game is built might have an effect. Recently I was involved in a heavy discussion on visual cortex stimulation, and I was wondering if stereo-panning within games in three-D could actually evoke the visual representation that an object is to the left, at around sixty degrees, five feet away from you. In audio games, we generally pan sounds to have blind people train each side of their ear to follow the source of the sound, whereas in video games, the object tends to flash on a certain area of the screen. So I am wondering if there is somewhat of a connection between the awakening of the visual system and just playing stereo-related games without realizing that there is more behind it. -Alfredo --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. [Audyssey] Hockey Games
Hello, I am not sure if there is already such a game for the computer as there are for Football and Baseball, but I am wondering if there are virtual hockey games such as one might find at an ice rink. -Alfredo --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Hint: Move the programme data from your old computer onto the new one. There should be one in your Application Data and another one your Programme Files. Copy both into the new computer, and they should be replaced. Alfredo --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. Re: [Audyssey] Audyssey babble report for September 2012
This sounds a little inaccurate. It says 92 people posted 813 messages, yet 128 were from Tom. Was 36 deducted from the count?
