Lol. Don't have that issue here. Funny thing is that Microsoft has hidden the Allow or Yes button under the more options button these days. Took me awhile to discover that. TDV, for example, needs to be able to access the sound files for the game, and therefore doesn't meet this criteria. The reasoning for this is because of how archives are handled. Essentially, what's actually happening when you access a file in a zip (or any other type) archive, is that your computer copies the file you requested to access out of the archive to a temporary location. It then runs or opens that file, which is why you can view documents in an archive just fine. The problem arises when the file you just copied tries to access other files that aren't there, like sounds. Since the computer only extracts the one needed file, the others don't exist, and the program fails. In addition, the program will usually have a compromised ability to create new files, for example saved games or edited documents. This is why you should always extract archive files containing applications, unless you know for absolute certainty that those programs are self-contained, and won't read or write any other files. Well, I have no problems with the demo version. I just down loaded and reinstalled it once again with no issues. It is the open source version that I'm having issues with. Plus, I should have double checked the letter before it went out, because I wasn't aware that it went out to the list and not back to you. Running win 10 anniversary. Thanks for your help John. Ron, I can't help you if you're having a win10 issue, which may be the case for all I know. The game ran instantly and fine on my machine without any issues at all. If you have executed tdv.exe from an extracted folder, then it should be fine. -- From: "Ron Kolesar" <kolesar16...@roadrunner.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 31, 2017 20:00 To: "Gamers Discussion list" <gamers@audyssey.org> Subject: Re: [Audyssey] Asking a TDV question. Hello to my fellow gamers. I grabbed the new version of TDV and installed it. But it is still coming up as a demo. How do we unlock it to no longer being a demo when it fires up? Re: [Audyssey] Asking a TDV question.
Ron, Either link will have the free version available. The archive also hosts the old demos of the game. Please note that none of the open source versions have installers. If you are launching the game from your start menu or desktop, you will be playing a demo version. Therefore, make sure you're running one of the extracted zip or 7z archives. I have: http://www.agarchive.net/pages/devs/bpc.html Then I also have: https://github.com/munawarb/Three-D-Velocity/releases So, can you ship me the correct link to use to down load it from please?
