Re: [Audyssey] Bop It with shout mode.

2010-06-11 Thread Jim Kitchen

Hi Phil,

Yeah, since I have to retrain myself holding the Bop It right side up, my best
score so far is only 55. My Aids oldest Son played with it so the best score
record is 96.

I can't wait until I can move up a level. I often like playing the beep Bop
mode.

Oh yeah, and to cheat with the original I would often hold the pull it and twist it
and Bop It on my knee. Guess they have sort of added that mode.

Re: [Audyssey] Bop It with shout mode.

2010-06-11 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Jim,
I like the idea of unlocking levels, so when you reach 100 points, you can
decide to go to the next level or not.
This gives people who are not skilled enough to get to 300 or 100 on the
three levels a chance to hear the winning sounds and feel better about
reaching the goal.
I am still on the beginner's level while my wife is in the middle of expert
level.

smiles,
Phil

Hi Phil,

For my birthday my home health care aid just bought me the new Bop It with
shout mode. It is shaped a bit differently than the original Bop It.
And because of the way that you must hold it to play the shout mode, I
found out that I have been always holding the original model up side down.
Have to retrain myself now. I like all of the new features. Guess
that I have four models of Bop It now.

It's an interesting game, but very limited in options I feel, sinse you only
get a max of five rounds, and the time only goes down to a minute. Either
ever decreasing time rounds, or constant rounds until you got it wrong would
imho have made the game last longer.

idea even what kind of battery is in it or how you change the battery. I
just bought it as a gimmic really.

Hi Folks,
I just got the new, Bop It with shout mode.
It is like a modern-day, handheld "Simon Says." After pulling the blue
knob to activate the game, just follow the voiced directions and get

ready

to bop it, twist it, pull it, or shout it!
But make sure you do it before the buzzer sounds! Designed for ages

eight

and up, the game will have you showing off your bopping talent by being
the first to "stay alive."

Requires:
3 "AAA" batteries (included)
Phillips screwdriver to replace batteries
No assembly required

Interactive, and Easy to Carry
Bop It is the same size of a small, hand-held car vacuum, and is very
light, weighing under a pound--making it easy to travel with. The toy is

made up of four main components--a large button in the middle to bop, a
blue gadget to pull, a yellow gadget to twist, and a green lever to move

sideways for shouting.

Once the game is activated, simply follow the voiced directions before

the

buzzer sounds. As the game goes on, you will take less time with each

turn

to complete the actions. So be prepared to "bop it" or "pull it"

quickly!

Bop It features useful rubber grips around the "twisting" and "pulling"
gadgets to prevent it from slipping out of your hands.

Fun, Competitive Play or Solo Mode
Bop It can be played by one person in solo mode or in a group/party
setting. The toy is interactive and mentally stimulating--which keeps

the

game interesting and challenging for players of all ages.
Bop It promotes responsive reflexes and good listening skills, along

with

lots of twisting, bopping family fun.

It is totally accessible to the blind and costs $15.53 from Amazon.com

2010-06-03 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Charles,
Yes the new model has a volume control, just turn the dial when not playing
and it will speak the choices with different volumes.

Bop It! by Hasbro
First shown at the 2009 Toy Fair.
The new version has a new input called "Shout It" which requires players to
shout into the microphone. The maximum score is 100 and it also has a new
victory ending which can be unlocked when the game is completed. Hasbro also
added three difficulty levels which were Novice, Expert and Master, and
there is also a new multiplayer game called 'Party' where all the Bop It
commands are replaced with body parts. Bop It! requires 3 AAA batteries to
operate. This model also has notifications on how to start to the game and
when the device is shutting off by saying "I'm going to sleep."
