As with Windows 7 as long as you install VB 6 etc most of your older games can be made to work with Win 8. The only games I can't get to run on Windows 8 are old 16-bit Dos games which makes sense given that 16-bit compatibility was dropped. We felt it was more important to limit the chance of it being accidentally interrupted by the user, than to make it interruptible, since it isn't something you click through every time. that voice over is recommended to be turned off, then you press enter right away to go to the game, perhaps it should stop the speech. Also, I notice this when going through menus, it will interrupt the music for a split second when playing an example sound, for example in change reaction when indicating the end of that section of the tutorial with the sound, it sometimes cuts the music off for a little bit. Also in silver dollar, when the slot machine payouts are playing, it sometimes cuts off the music. Not sure if this is a problem with the game/engine or my machine, but figured I'd point it out. I have found the mines and have been dropping dynamite like a mad bomber, but all I find is mithril coins, and a dwarf who will dig for you if you give him a coin.
