Hi Cara, Thanks for your comments. I got the information about how people hold their devices from online interactions with users. The first reports were "the sounds are playing on the wrong side," which I naively chalked up to people putting their headphones on backwards. After some back and forth, we were able to determine what was going on. I also learned a bit of a lesson in humility-when your player says "yes, I'm certain my headphones are on correctly", it is good to believe them J.
