Re: [Audyssey] Fw: Electronic Arts games

2007-09-28 Thread Søren Jensen
Hi Josh.

It would be very great to tell EA Games, or maybee show them how we play
accessible games. It's important they know what's make games accessible for
us. For example fully voiced dialogs, easyer to find savepoints and stuff
like that. Sounds like the person you have contacted is interested in how we
can play games, otherwise, he wouldn't know where to find these text games
we can play.
Many games needs just a bit of ajustments to be fully accessible. Of course
not with fully spoken menus, but many games would be able to complete by a
blind person. I know a lot of games witch would be able to complete by us
blind gamers, if all text in the game was fully voiced dialogs. Think about
how much speech they have to record. Why not just record the rest of the
dialogs, so we don't need sighted assistance to read the text for us.

If they are interested, it's very important to show or tell them these small
ajustments we need to be able to play more of their games.

What do you all think?

Best regards:
Søren Jensen

 Hello Josh :-)

 I hope all is well

Unfortunately we have no titles on hand as of now that cater for the
 blind.
Thank you for your request and I have forwarded it on to the appropriate
people for consideration and research I believe.

There are several text based games out on the free market ideal for the
blind. Many of them like Zork. Visit
 http://www.whitestick.co.uk/text.html

I hope this helps. Any queries please don't be shy.
