Ah. Now, yakuza is one I've heard of. In exchange for info about dynasty
Warriors five, just how accessible is it, and is it in america? lol.

I'm not sure how save points work. But I know that the basic objective is to
kill, so just kill your way through everything. The basic premise is... kill
the right people to end this particular battle. No, there are no very very
good cutseens, and there's not a lot of story. Basically this is historical.
Three clans of chinese warriors are at battle with each other and you simply
must choose a chracter from a clan and defeat everything else. Hoping to
here more about Yakuza.

Re: [Audyssey] I'm back, and a few games

2007-10-15 Thread Søren Jensen
Hi Clement.

Welcome back, and thanks for these good describtions. It's good to see more
posts about console games.

I have a few questions about Dinasty Warriors 5:
1: How does the savepoints works? I find it very anoying to walk around for
hours and search for savepoints. I love these games where you can save the
game when you want, or where it's easy to find the savepoints.
2: Have you seen some inaccessible things in the game, or is the game total
accessible?
3: Is there a good storyline and are there cool cutseens?

I'll maybee buy the game, but I need more informations first.

I have another cool game called Yakuza. I'll post a little review of it here
on this list if some of you are interested.

Come on guys, we want more topics about console games!

[Audyssey] I'm back, and a few games

2007-10-14 Thread chou.clement
Hi folks.

For all those who know me not, I have returned. I am Clement, and have been
reading stuff from this list for a long time, however have not posted in a
while. A while, that is, to say, two years at least. haha. Anyway, I'm back,
and I have a few games that folks might like to check out if they play console
games. Each is mostly accessible, and most of these don't need sighted
assistance, for the most part anyway.

Dynasty Warriors 5
This Chinese hack and slash puts you on various battle fields with a weapon,
and the objective is simple. Kill. Call it fighting force meets a historic
backgrounds with no guns.

Tekken 5
Tekken. What? Another one? In case people have already posted about this, you
can discard this particular game if you know about it already. But for those
who don't...
The tournament as the King of Iron Fist tournament, or Tekken... which
translates into iron fist from Japanese, is being held again. But how is this
possible as the sponsor, Hehachi Mishima is supposedly dead? Grab the game for
a dose of information on this subject.

The Bouncer
This awesome fighting game is one of few games that pits you from battle to
battle without having to walk around any, except for two certain parts. Those
require sighted assistance, but you could always risk learning the paths. This
game has a wonderful story mode, not to mention a great versus mode allowing up
to four players!

And finally...

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
This vicious blood and gore edition to the mortal kombat series is a good one.
Complete with 64 or so characters, a much-improved comquest mode, a car combat
racing mode and a great custom fatality system all tie in to make this one heck
of a good game. Choose from all 62 original mk characters, plus two new
additions, Taven and Dehgon. Have fun learning combos, projectiles, and air
attacks. As well, see how viciously you can finish your oponents with a custom
created fatality!

That is the list for now. For samples and demos of these games you can simply
go to
http://www.brandoncole.net

There are various gaming samples, a lot of which are done by me, as well as a
lot of great demos of games that are potentially accessible. Hope to be posting
more actively soon! Best to all.

Clement.
