Hello, this is Ron. Just wondering does anyone with vista have this game? - Original Message - From: "Jeremy Hartley" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Thursday, May 07, 2009 8:22 PM Subject: [Audyssey] Other baseball computer games. Was Re: harry hollinsworth world series game Hello. Besides the stratomatic baseball game, there is an older game called Apba Broadcast Blast, put out by Apba. They still sell it at http://www.apbastadium.com and the game is called baseball for windows. They are apparently making a new version, but no new announcements have been coming out for the last two years or so. The cool thing about this game is that it is completely voiced by Ernie Harwell, including all names. What they do is have a database of several thousand names on the cd-rom, and even if a team or player is represented by one letter due to copyrights etc, the names are still in the database, and you can rename the players or teams as needed. As you may guess, do to all the files, the game must be run from the cd-rom each time, but it is very quick in spite of that. . Lol. In other news, there may be some baseball games and other sports games coming sometime in the very very distant future. If a certain someone with the initials of J H learns programming enough to do so. But right now, this J H person is quietly learning all he needs to in order to make something of high quality, and will say no more at this time. grin Jeremy Hartley - Original Message - From: "Phil Vlasak" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Thursday, May 07, 2009 9:18 AM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] harry hollinsworth world series game Hi Dennis, As there are several baseball games available right now, it would be unlikely that I would want to spend the time to do another. It would take quite a while to do a Windows version as it can not be created with a game engine and probably would need to be coded from scratch. It would have to be voiced with SAPI as it contains hundreds of player's names. Right now there is a commercial version of a similar game called Strat-O-Matic baseball simulator, but I think it costs about $70. For those who don't know, Harry developed WSBB over a 15 year period starting as a GW basic program and increased in complexity each year. You play as both team managers and could play against a friend but only on the same computer. - Original Message - From: "dennis" To: "Gamers Discussion list" Sent: Thursday, May 07, 2009 3:19 AM Subject: [Audyssey] harry hollinsworth world series game could anyone please create this for windows it was a great game and i would love to see it back if i remember it correctly it was ccalled world series baseball by harry hollins worth thanks Dennis --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org. h I have always wanted something like this. hmm this may even get me to play the kitchensinc games again. I am however not from the usa. the games I mostly hear about therefore are rugby, tenis, badminton, soccer. rugby is the national sport and I'd jump at the chance to have a rugby sim weather it was off or online.
