[Audyssey] Sryth: Mapping
Hey Srythers, I was wondering what method you guys use to map the dungeons. Right now, it's my least favorite part of the game, but I'm thinking that if I could get mapping down I could really start to have fun. I've got my dungeon view set to the top view. Or you can download Mozilla Firefox if you don't already have it. There's an add-on for Firefox that was designed to dal with just that situation. It's called Web Visum. Firefox can be found at www.mozilla.com. THe plug-in can be downloaded from www.webvisum.com. I personally recommend that way because sometimes the GM can be difficult to contact, A because he's got a family outside Sryth and B his Spam filter sometimes gets in the way. Hi Wiliam. I didn't like the first person view when I used it, but it could just be me. It confuses me. I use excel and a system of - and x to draw maps, but it's not ideal. Hi, I use excel to do my mapping. The dungeons are all laid out as a grid, so a1 on the excel grid corresponds to 1 north one west. Decide a way that is good for you to mark where you have been, and where the forks in the passage are that you need to return to. It's pretty easy, and tons of help!
