Re: [Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Glenna,
If the game starts to slow up hit control+c to clear the sound card buffers.
It may be better if run without a screen reader in memory too.

2006-06-02 Thread Glenna
I love this game, but it freezes up on me. It also makes soundpilate go
haywire. For those of you who might not know, it is a program, that I bought
which makes each key sound like the typewriter. If anybody does know about
this program, could you tell me please how to turn it on and off? I don't
want to install it, and reinstall it all the time, but I love this game.

Re: [Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread Phil Vlasak
OK Che, just for you,
Introducing SuperDog's Baby Chick and kitten eating game!
You are super dog and you are hunting baby chicks in the yard. Each chick
has a little bell tied to their necks and if you catch them you can hear
SuperDog bite their heads off! And if you catch the kitten You can hear its
bones crunch too!
Are you hungry enough to eat all 99 baby chicks?
If you take one down and pass it around, another will take its place!
smiles,
Phil

Re: [Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Che,
There are no cat eating sounds in the game!
On the easy or standard levels the dog just stops and barks as the cat runs
to the fence and in the hard level the dog chases the cat but it always
jumps over the fence.
Of course the cat is curious so it jumps back into the yard and heads for
the dog after a bit of time.
Even if my dog caught the cat it would not be a fare fight since SuperDog is
only ten pounds.
smiles,
We got him to bark by telling him we will take away his cell phone.

Hi Damion,
Thanks for the bug report.
I should have zeroed out the score at the start of the sounds review.
As for the sounds you'll have to ask my dog since he has all the digital
management rights to them.
smiles,
I will probably include them on the CD for Sarah when that game is finished
as an extra treat for the CD purchasers.

Re: [Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread meeping necdet
I also found a few problems. Oh, and btw, I managed 71 bones.

1. I went to review game sounds and it started the game without the little
intro.
2. when I quit said game, it kept my old score, told me to enter my initials
and told me I was at position 2. so now I have 2 "71" scores.

And also, could I please have the sounds?

Thanks,

Damien

hi,
That demonstration mode text is built into the GMA game engine.
To bypass that would require registration keys which I do not want to create

Hi,
You can not just down load the GMA engine and try it.
You need David Greenwood's approval first.
He has a plan where you can either buy or rent the engine but the details
are up to him,.

Re: [Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Didn't I say that but a lot more compressed? .

Seriously though. To my knowledge if a developer wants to use the GMA
game engine he/she needs to get a license from GMA Games (David
Greenwood). I do not know the details on cost or for how long it works
or if it times out or what kind of programming knowldege you need.

If you don't need much programming skills like those used in C++ , C#,
or VB I might give it a crack and make a game of my own.

I always wanted to make one of my own games but would not be sure of
what the theme would be.

Re: [Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread Phil Vlasak
Hi Damien,
The GMA game engine is produced by, can you guess?
GMA games!
http://www.gmagames.com
Most of the games on that site were created with it so they will give you an
idea of what it can do.
The only ones that were not are the Star Trek and Lone Wolf games.
The levels are created by square cells which can be floors or walls and can
be populated with objects and creatures.
Each object or creature has a data base list of things defining it and what
it does plus a trigger that can be set off if certain things happen.
You create a text file that tells the game what the game should do if a
trigger is set off, like playing a sound or changing a variable or shooting
at or moving an object or creature.

You can find out more about the details of the engine by contacting GMA
games.
smiles,
Phil

[Audyssey] SuperDog's Bone Hunt game

2006-06-02 Thread Phil Vlasak
Introducing, SuperDog's Bone Hunt
A free game from PCS using the GMA Game Engine.

The aim of SuperDog's Bone Hunt game is to Try to help him find as many
bones as you can in three minutes.
Move SuperDog around the lawn with your arrow keys and when he gets near a
bone, he will pick it up and eat it.
The bones make bell like sounds so it is easy to locate them.
SuperDog barks like crazy when the cat gets near and in the hard difficulty
level, he runs to the fence to try to get it.

SuperDog's Bone Hunt game is self-voicing and its size is 21 MB.
It can be downloaded at:
http://www.pcsgames.net

The game was inspired by Liam Erven's Super Egg Hunt available on the L
Works web site.

No dogs or cats were hurt in the making of this game.
