Re: [Audyssey] just a quick hello

2008-10-11 Thread constantine (on laptop)

Hiya

Well, try not to go with something like space invaders or card games. I and
most other peeps here would love to see and RPG. USA raceway is nearly here,
but heck, we don't have many racing games around here. Pretty much anythings
good, I think.

Just wanted to say hello,
I just joined.
I'm a software developer, and have been interested in making a game
accessible to the blind for some time; ideas would be great.
I'd be doing this as a hobby, so I'm not promising much, but it would be
fun to have a game on the workbench.

Hi folks,
There are two versions of Frogger,
An Audio version of frogger at,
AudioGames PlayCenter student Games released in 2007
and their own game,
the Shock wave Internet game, Curb, in which a hedge-hog crosses a road.
Yes, it's not a frog but uses the same game mechanics as used in frogger.

Hi tyler and welcome to the list.

In terms of games and developement, well it's probably more a case of what
sort of thing were you thinking.

About the only thing there is too many of in audio games are space invaders
clones, but just about anything else catagory wise would be nice.

Lots of people (including me), would very much like to see an audio rpg, but
maybe that's beyond the scope of what your planning?

Were you thinking 3d or 2d? what sort of sound scape were you considdering?

As i said, in terms of audio games feel free to just let your creativity run
wild sinse there isn't much chance of you replicating something that's
already been done.

Or at the least, remakes of some different arcade classics than just Space
Invaders. Anybody remember that Atari game Kangaroo? That one might be kinda
fun. Or Cosmic Ark? Or Frogs and Flies. It's just unfortunate that the AGM
was so buggy, or I would have felt comfortable with releasing the games I'd
created, not that I ever finished any of them.

nope, it's not. I'm just not sure how to set up the cars moving. I guess
each log could be maybe a faster trip so the cars will go faster, etc.

Hi,
Yeah, Frogger would be a cool game to start with. I don't think it would
be all that difficult to program. You have the freeway, jumping from log
to log, etc which isn't difficult at all.

Yeah, I really agree with this one. I'll find something worth writing.
I was thinking accessible frogger!
I'm not totally sure how I'd pull that off, though.
