What about creating a private game and adding some bots.
The result is the same as playing with offline bots.

2010-12-23 Thread Hayden Presley
Hi Ryan,
I have a suggestion for you. I created a game last night, and someone
joined the game. When I asked them to leave (it was a one on one match),
they did. And then...the game kicked me out as well. Could you make it so
that the game does not automaticallyexit when A. there is only one player
left, and B. when the game finishes?

Best Regards,
Hayden

[Audyssey] RS Games Client Patch

2010-12-19 Thread Ryan Smith
Hello All,
We have released a patch. Here is what we have changed:
-Speech interrupting itself on Mac OSX. Speech should work well now.
Rate can still be adjusted with Command+Right/Left
-You can now move to the top and bottom of checklist menus with the
left and right arrow keys, as in normal menus.
-You can now use hotkeys from within checklist menus.
-You can now select all items in a checklist with CTRL+Space
(Command+Space on the Mac) and de-select all items with Shift+Space
-Fixed a bug where the client would speak "Invalid choice" after
downloading sounds

You can download it from www.rsgames.co.nr

Enjoy!

Re: [Audyssey] RS Games Client 1.1

2010-10-02 Thread william lomas
I have the same issues. Or, as I state in an email the following occurs?
Hello, beta 1.1 is not, with voiceover running mac os 10.6 on my
macbook at least, reading the menus it just starts by issuing the prompt of RS
games client no games, unknown yet arrowing around reveals no prompts. When I
pressed enter and was told to enter my username then again to confirm password
and was logged on again, no spoken information was given. I do have apple
script enabled.

Hi. I don't exactly agree with you.
When you play uno, people are reasonable, and after all it's a friendly
card game.
You play a card, you say uno and that's it.
Even if you say a bit later people understand. But this is not the case
here.
When you have a game that allows people catch you for half a second or
less, the game (in my opinion) allows bad spirit and some random
decisions because if a guy has faster internet connection allways wins
the game.
For me the spirit of uno is that you are in a friendly place having fun
together and calmly you play and the player with better strategy wins.
I think that with my idea, having two seconds for saying uno without
beeing disturbed, the problem would be solved because when you have uno
you can calmly play but if you are trying to hide it from the other
players you can be caught anyway later.
Cheers

Hi people.
I tried it allready and I'm really impressed.
I think the concept is great and the fun that we feel while playing and
interacting with people is amazing.
There is obviously still things to improve but let's be patient.
There is allthough one thing that I allready reported to Ryan that I
don't like in uno.
I hope they will change somehow because in chat I know that more people
don't like it.
It is about catching people when they don't say uno.
I'm not against the concept, I just think that the game is made in a way
that for moments, it's not a friendly card game, it becomes an action
game. Not mentionning that probably internet connections and stuff can
influence that.
It happened to me allready several times that I played the card with
enter, I had allready the finger in u I pressed very quickly and
anyways, I was caught. I think it's not fair .
My idea, for keeping the game friendly and nice for everyone is that the
person after pressing enter, could have one or two seconds for calmly
press u without beeing disturbed because if not the person who wins is
not the one with better strategy but the one with fastest fingers.
I know the concept was ok but people abuse.
The rest, for me the games are absolutely great.

Re: [Audyssey] RS Games client

2010-09-04 Thread Hayden Presley
Hi,
In real life, that really isn't any different, considering then it becomes
who talks the fastest. But more seriously, I've noticed the same
thing. It really depends on how uno-conscious this or that player is, but
internet connections are the real problem here.

Best Regards,
Hayden

Cheers,
