For the logo, with version 3.5.3 of ganglia-web (and possibly others) 
you can create create "templates/default/user_header.tpl" which gets 
pulled in by templates/default/header.tpl like so right at the start of 
the body:

{include(file="user_header.tpl")}
{/if}

To change Heat Map to a Pie Chart:

Change the following line in conf_default.php in the main Ganglia home web 
directory

# Are heatmaps enabled (1=yes, 0=No=Pie Chart)

[Ganglia-general] Ganglia 3.4.0 - building from source

Hi,

I installed Ganglia 3.4.0, built it from the source (with gmetad) in Ubuntu. 
Previously I had 3.1.7 installed using apt-get, and I saw ganglia-monitor and 
gmetad as a service (so I can do a "sudo service ganglia-monitor start").

But after building and installing 3.4.0 from the source, I still don't see 
gmetad or ganglia-monitor as a service. Are gmond & gmetad not a service 
anymore?

[Ganglia-general] gmetad error in writing the correct rrds and various web errors

Hi! I have several problems with ganglia ..
chapter one :
ganglia 3.1.7

starting some point in time (after some trying of some extensions)
i dont get anymore the info from the frontend in rrds ...
in gmond it seem that i have info :
root@alien: ISS-ALICE # telnet localhost 8649 | grep alien.local
TMAX="20" DMAX="0" LOCATION="0,0,0" GMOND_STARTED="0">


but for a node
root@alien: ISS-ALICE # telnet localhost 8651 | grep alien-0-10

i am really at loss why this is not working as it is supposed to work ..

i even enabled full php error debugging in the hope that it is a web 
error ... the page is  http://alien.spacescience.ro/ganglia/


as an alternative i tried the latest ganglia web with the much worse 
result :  http://alien.spacescience.ro/ganglia2/


Can someone advice me how can i debut this further and where should i 
look? (both for the gmetad error and the fact that in ganglia 3.4.0 
(/ganglia2) i have no graphs)

After reverting back to the default setup of the rrds and htdocs 
directories, all the graphs displayed the rrds data.  I guess there are 
other files and hidden links that point to the default directory/file 
structure affect the overall functionality of ganglia.

Thank you to all who tried to assist me in resolving the ganglia issues I 
was facing.
