Canada could still be viable way to gain more QB playing experience and
return to NFL,  assuming  he should be able to maintain has commitments off
the field from Canada. But will he play in Canada?

I have never been a jinx at Neyland so really wish I could be there Sat.
night to see 106,000 (minus a few gators) go home mad again! From 1984 thru
2006 I was fortunate to be there for all but a couple games and saw the
Gators win all but a very few, including a big shutout win the night of the
Vawls first game after changing the turf back to grass. They were too
stubborn to even try a FG until the end and then missed!

I'm hearing a lot from TN fans about the game tomorrow. They mostly feel
like they will beat us with their passing game. 
Ok, I know we don't have a chance, blah blah.  But, I think our defense is
going to be much stronger and faster than anything they have faced. Our
offense is ready to play too. 
I think we'll win by the 10 points Jay predicted earlier. 
If we don't, Shane is going to have some explaining to do. 
He will obviously be the bad luck factor because this will be his first game
at Neyland. 
Anyone else got an opinion?

The tuition was $113 per trimester at UF in 1968 as I recall.

 I have no idea what it costs to attend UF. Can you share? When I was in
school, I think it cost something like $129 per semester or trimester and
you could take as many hours as you could fit in. I took 18 or 20 hours one
semester. I could be wrong about the $129, but I think it is close. I am old
as dirt, though.

Thanks all.  But, holy crap UF is expensive as an out of state student!  I
hope the financial aid package comes back a bit sweeter than the estimates.
Right now, UF is the most expensive option of all the schools, including
Northwestern and Carnegie Mellon.

Also,  it appears we are still waiting on confirmation if he is in for the
Fall.  He is accepted into the new Innovation Academy, but at doesn't stay
until Spring.  Should find out this week if he is also accepted for Fall.

Still excited, just feeling really poor...

Briefly--Local politics is always interesting but the city should control
its own historic buildings as they plan for the upcoming 450th celebration
years. A few years ago the city couldn't  pay to maintain all the old
buildings. They asked Proctor to get money from the state. He did but with
UF in control. Now the current mayor (Boles) feels the city needs to regain
control of its own (buildings) destiny and believes the city can manage the
finances this time. Probably UF has good intentions but their ideas and
plans for the old buildings may not fit in with the best interests of the
city and the important tourist industry.

It looks like the truce between St. Augustine and the University of Florida
was short lived.

Last week, I wrote about how St. Augustine officials were upbeat a deal
could be reached
  over UF's control of the city's historic
properties. But now a war of words has broken out between city residents and
Rep. Bill Proctor, the St. Augustine Republican who sponsored the
legislation putting UF in control.

"Proctor was elected by the people of this district, not by the people of
Gainesville," former St. Augustine Mayor Mark Alexander told the St.
Augustine Record in a story that ran Sunday
 .

Alexander, owner of White Lion Restaurant and Pub in St. Augustine, said
he's started a grassroots campaign opposing UF's takeover. His comments
brought a reaction from Proctor in a guest column
  and story

in today's Record, in which he referenced letters from former St. Augustine
Mayor George Gardner and current Mayor Joseph Boles praising his work in
passing the legislation.

"I did exactly what they asked me to do," he said.

UF officials, for their part, have shown no interest in seeking to change
the state law. In fact, UF's Board of Trustees passed a measure earlier this
month 
creating a direct support organization to manage the properties.

It is simple as this..Boles wants to be in CONTROL of everything in the
city. He would even control bowel movements if he could and he surrounds
himself with his puppets to do his bidding. Proctor refuted so well every
statement that has been said against the proposal. I wish a stromg candidate
would run against Boles.how about the eat celery lasdy.
