Nope.

ScUM didn't even sell out the Orange Bowl back in the '80s when they played 
Oklahoma, and it was #1 versus #2.

Keep in mind, we sell out when we play Vanderbilt.  Hell, we sell out versus 
non conference cream puffs.

I really think it would make sense for the SEC to expand only if they could
get Texas (and whatever other Texas schools UTx demands come along with
them), and/or perhaps Oklahoma.

The schools I hear as potential adds just don't bring much to the
conference, IMO.

The conference is used to sold out stadiums, not half-empty stadiums, or
worse.

Texas would bring a new state with a football-centered culture and a large
population.  No one else really excites me.

I really think it would make sense for the SEC to expand only if they could get 
Texas (and whatever other Texas schools UTx demands come along with them), 
and/or perhaps Oklahoma.

The schools I hear as potential adds just don't bring much to the conference, 
IMO.

The conference is used to sold out stadiums, not half-empty stadiums, or worse.

Texas would bring a new state with a football-centered culture and a large 
population.  No one else really excites me.

Expansion at SEC doorstep

Gainesville SUN Staff writerIf the league decides to go to 14 or 16 teams,
Virginia Tech, Florida State, North Carolina and Miami have been listed
among potential schools to join the Eastern Division. For the West, Texas
A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have been mentioned.

Florida State was approached about joining the SEC when it expanded in 1992,
but the school said it was not interested.
