[gatortalk] Kentucky offerred game, refuses to take it!

2011-02-06 Thread Arthur Polhill
That's the way I'd report this game.

While it was a frustratingly exciting game to watch for fans of both teams
(Paula and I were sitting between two Kentucky couples who groaned when we
cheered, and vice-versa), neither team really played well enough to win.

That said, Florida had the most points as time ran out.   After forfeiting a
second-half 13-point lead to Kentucky, as is their custom of late, the Gators
started playing basketball again.  UK and UF traded punches until the clock
mercifully ended the game and the angst of at least the Gator fans.  All fans
in
attendance, however, then left in search of Rolaids and rest.

UK fans were well represented and loud. I had the sense they needed to win
this game.  After all, what else does a non-horse-owning Kendtucky fan have?

My dad called me last night about 12:30 and said his heart rate had just
returned to normal. He said, I knew you'd still be up, and I told him my
adrenaline level was still elevated. Whew!
