I think '96 football will be #1.  You always remember your first time!  Then, '06-'07 basketball will be #2.

Record: 13-1.
The stars: Quarterback Tim Tebow seems to have the ability to will his team to victories. But he had plenty of help from wide receivers Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy and the emergence of small and speedy tailback Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey. This is a team that could also win with defense, which it showed in the national title game. The defense was led by junior middle linebacker Brandon Spikes and a young secondary (Joe Haden, Janoris Jenkins, Ahmad Black and Major Wright) that made a quantum leap from the year before.
What they did: The Gators, including Tebow, looked a bit out of sorts offensively through the first few games of the season. An upset loss at home seemed to wake a sleeping giant. From that point on, Florida went 9-0 and outscored the opposition by an average score of 49.3-13.0 to earn a spot in the BCS Championship Game against Oklahoma. In the title game, the UF defense diffused what some considered the be the greatest offense in the history of college football in a 24-14 victory. It was UF's second national title in three years and the third in school history.
Big moment: It came about 40 minutes after the only loss of the season to Ole Miss, when a tearful Tebow stood in front of the media in the postgame press conference and delivered his emotional promise that no one would play harder than he and his teammates would for the rest of the season. From that point on, the Gators were unbeatable.
Fun fact: Tebow's now-famous promise has been immortalized at UF, where it is now on a plaque hanging on a wall at the entrance to the new football complex in the south end zone of The Swamp.
Quote: "The professionalism. I just keep going back to that, the way they handled themselves off the field and on the field, and practices were all about teaching and getting guys to go hard. That's a sign of a mature team. That's kind of a model. I'm not sure I've been around one like that." - Urban Meyer
