That seems a little more accurate than rewarding schools for fielding
a team a few years earlier at a time when football wasn't much more

I almost think that wartime records should be thrown out, as well.
Why punish a school whose entire team enlisted after Pearl Harbor and

This was in response to a Dawg fan that said the UF - GA series runs in 19
year cycles, and the last one ended in 2008, so GA is now ready for a 19
year run of dominance. Silly pups!

The problem with your dawg acquaintance is he has arbitrarily chosen 19 year
ranges, if you chose 15 year ranges UF's winning percentage looks like this:

1934-1948 --- 2 -12
1949-1963 --- 11 - 4
1964-1978 --- 5 - 9 - 1
1979-1993 --- 6 - 9
1994-2008 --- 12 - 3

So over 15 year stretches, the dominance doesn't look so great. Also, over
the last 75 years, Georgia is only 1 game above .500 over the Gators. This
year, we even the score...

P.S. Since WWII Florida is 34-30 against the evil ones.

hate and fear us, which is even better.  It is a great time to be a Gator,
especially since I remember losing to Rice, Houston, Richmond (maybe a tie)
and those lesser teams in the 1950s up until the 1990s, and having the Dawgs
beat us like a drum..  Life is GOOD!

BTW, how close are we to evening up the score with LSU, Alabama and the
 others?

I just responed to a post on GatorCountry with this information, but thought
a certain individual in Tennessee might like this..

My ultimate goal as a Gator fan is to be ahead of all the schools we play,
in wins over the years, and then dominate them. Is that too much to ask?
My brother says that all he ever wanted was respect from the other teams and
the sportswriters in the nation; well, he's got that. Now the other teams
hate and fear us, which is even better. It is a great time to be a Gator,
especially since I remember losing to Rice, Houston, Richmond (maybe a tie)
