I like Mr. Two Bits. It not only fits the sort of personality that a cocker puppy would have (whimsical and playful), but (as John noted) the two bits part fits for a two-color dog. Of course you wouldn't say all that as a call name, but it gives you 'two bits' or just 'bits' for a call name, so that works. What's more, since this is the year Mr. Two Bits retired after giving tirelessly to all of us Gators for so many decades, I think it's a fitting tribute.
