To be homosexual is not something new. It's a natural genetic sexual orientation and the way God has created such people. We have to support them in what way we can. We're doing so so well technologically as a country and being regressive on this front, portrays us in a poor light. We shouldn't be so regressive. It's not just about health issues but gay bashing too. They have rights to protection too. Celina continues, I've had a lot of homosexual friends and have been a gay rights activist since childhood. Even today I have a lot of gay friends. If Section 377 is repealed, it would be a great move by the Indian government. It's great that the government is waking up to the rights of homosexuals in the country and it would be a giant leap forward for AIDS prevention in a country with one of the highest HIV infection rates in the world.
